The Silent Race

The Island

Red lights littered the ship. I watched as the masked people's ship shot at our boat, and a bunch of warning lights went off. Water slowly rises, and I felt it at my feet. We where sinking. I ran up the stairs, trying to escape from the inside, but the door was bolted down, with the hinges removed. I looked around and saw a port window. I broke the window with the stock of my gun and squeezed through to the top of the deck. Water engulfed the cabins and the ships was sinking fast. I panic not knowing where to go. A green light caught my eye. I looked and saw the most beautiful tropical island I've ever been too or even seen. I snuck to the edge of the ship, worried of being seen by the marksmen on the other ship. When I neared the bow of the ship, water was creeping through the deck, so I had no other choice then to jump. I jumped, landing into the water softly. The current coming from the ship pulled me in. I myself was sinking. I tried desperately to swim out, but I, strong as I was, was no match for the stronger current. I blank out.

I wake up to find myself in a wooden cage suspended above the ground around 8 meters in the air. I noticed Iowa's in a jungle, and I saw a few other people from the cruise ship in cages. A masked guy walked up to a cage and shot it down. The woman in the cage fell down, and was shot. The masked one picked her up and walked away. I quickly realised that I may be next. The cage was made out of bamboo. I punched the bamboo sticks a few times and got one to break. I ripped the bamboo stick put and had a sharp stick. I shook the cage, making it swing towards a nearby jungle tree. When I got close enough, I lunged for the tree. I attempted to stab the tree with the bamboo stick but slipped,and fell all the way down. I had only a gash on my left arm. I picked up the bamboo, and followed the trail that the shooter took. I saw a giant table, and a whole bunch of masked guys. I quickly hid under a cabin that they got food from. I saw the shooter carrying the carcass of the woman to the table. Another made a speech the cut her open. I almost threw up, seeing that they where eating her. I was going to be their dinner. I tried to stay silent and crawled under a small wood bridge. I then escaped into the jungle.
