Vernon's secret - Chapter 1

You had a best friend (Vernon) who you secretly had a crush on for ages but you was just too scared to tell him how you felt, so you decided to keep it to yourself until you believed it was the right moment to confess. Right now he was on tour with the rest of the members having the time of his life while you sat down at home bored as ever missing him and waiting for him to return home so you can tell him how you feel.
You lay there on your bed staring up at the ceiling and just when you were about to close your eyes, your phone rang...so you looked over to your phone to see who's calling and it was Vernon your best friend/crush, at first you didn't know whether to answer it or leave it because you were in such a panic and it was so sudden that he called you out of no where, so you decided to grab your phone from the desk beside your bed and slide to 'answer', all you could hear was his deep sexy husky voice on the other end and starting blushing as your heart raced and skipped a few beats, you completely blanked out and forgot you were on the phone until Vernon finally said "Hello?... are you there?" And at that moment you snapped back into reality and replied with a simple "Yes, I'm here". After you said that there was a moment of awkwardness between you two, until you heard him chuckle slightly so you asked him "Is there something wrong?" "Oh no there's nothing wrong, don't worry" you were concerned a bit, you knew him so well that whenever he chuckles you know that something's wrong or that he has an idea of some sort. So you just casually continued the conversation for about a couple more minutes and as you guys were talking, you just kept thinking about confessing to him and wanting to just get it over and done with but your brain said one thing and heart said another so you was completely confused on whether or not you should do it. But you finally... yes finally decided to let it out, you stumbled a couple of times while trying to get your words out, and eventually you managed. "Hey... um Vernon? Can..can I um tell you... something?" "Yeah, sure I guess... what is it?" And at that point you could feel your cheeks start to burn as you realised you were blushing, you never used to blush when you were around Vernon but I guess this time you must really feel stronger about him than before. You continued to confess to Vernon your feelings... "I...i ... I've liked you ... wait no I um mean I've loved you for quite a while now" your heart started pumping like the speed of lighting but at the same time you were just glad you got it over and done with and you don't need to hide your feelings anymore, but when you were about to hang up because of all the embarrassment you heard Vernon's voice say something that you didn't quite hear clearly, so you asked him "Wait, what did you say?" "I said ... *deep breath* I've loved you too but didn't want you to know just in case you don't like me that way and also if I confess to you it might ruin our friendship" in that moment you were in complete shock at his words, you never knew he felt this way about you too and this just might be your chance to take your guys friendship to the next level and start something serious. You cleared your throat and said "So ... does that mean we are a couple now...?" "I mean... if that's what you want, we both love each other right?" "Yeah..." Vernon gave out a sigh of relief "So that means I can now officially call you my girlfriend, aha!" Even though he was on the other side of the phone you could tell he was smiling so hard. "Yay! I can call you my boyfriend then as well..haha"
