I steady my breathing, moving to shoot, wait. I almost hit the third dummy. I take a deep breath, that was close... okay, Su this is no time to worry, I grip the bow in my hand, a drop of sweat goes down my forhead, I let go. The cheers start before I notice what's going on, I look at the target, bull's-eye, I grin and wave at the crowd, I take a look around to lock eyes with Chrysalis, she smiles up to her ears and waves, I wave back and plant my goofy grin back on my face. I look around once again, nope, don't see him. I sigh and walk heavily over to Chris, she detects the disappointment in my unnatural purple eyes, "What's wrong Su? You've been practicing for this since you were born! ", I smile, she's right, this competition is what I breathed for, if not, I would've already been dead. They train us to kill, that's all, we were born to kill, nothing else, sure, you can date with other hunters, but other than that, we're shut out of the world. I only remember glimpses of the outside world, "Hello?! Earth to Su? ", I blink, "Sorry, I was just thinking about where Gin is.", she shrugs, "Haven't seen him since he got disqualified. ", she shakes her head,"I can't believe he cheated, that dagger could've killed someone! ",I nod, he almost did. He had pulled out a dagger made of Yule iron, the deadliest, in the dueling stage. I had won by 5 hits, Gin had pulled it out at the end, although he could've won if he hadn't. "Well, we're talking about Gin here, hes probably punching a tree. ", I grin at the crowd one more time before walking off the stage. Chrysalis stops and looks at me uneasily, I stop too, "What's wrong? ", I move to check her forehead, in case she's got a cold, she pushes my hand away, "umm, Su? Do you mind me staying here, with Chris? ", I flinch at the name, I had dated Chris for 2 weeks before shortly dumping him after I found him and Layla Grimly exchanging saliva, it was enough for me to say I would never date again. I hadn't wanted to tell Chrysalis about what happened, and when I found out they started dating, well, it was.... unnerving. I nod and walk away without a word before waving at the crowd as I exited the auditorium.
