An old picture

*Jade's P.O.V*

I opened the last remaining box of our tiring move. I was overjoyed yet saddened by the sight of all the pictures and articles of my glory years. I reached into the box full of memories taking out the first picture of us as a band, Perrie, Leigh-anne, Jesy, and I. I remember that day like it was yesterday even though it was about fifty five years ago. A single tear escaped my eye as I tempered our amazing journey together.

As I keep pulling things out I find more articles and pictures, I picked out my old diary. The velvety cover it once used to have had now faded into a dark reddish color. I delicately opened the precious book since the pages were worn out.

*Flashback."

I ran into my room and shut the door dramatically. How could this have happened to me? We were meant to be together. Everybody assumed we were the perfect couple and envied us. It was perfect in the beginning but I could tell we were slowly drifting apart. It all started when the new student came to our school. She was what all the guys dreamed about having look wise. I should of known something was going on but I was to love struck to notice. Now here I was in my room crying over some insincere jerk.

"She's better known for the things that she does on the mattress. She should keep in mind she should keep in mind there is nothing I do better than revenge." I try to blink away the tears that are threatening to fall. No I was not gonna cry over some lying bastard. As I wiped a single tear away I heard a gentle knock on my bedroom door. "Sweetie?" My moms angelic voice filled my room. "I'm coming in." She said when she noticed I wasn't gonna respond. I sat up and crossed my legs to try and look presentable as she walked in. "I made you lasagna and biscuits." She said as an attempt to cheer me up. She knew they were my favorites. She placed the delicious plate of food on the night stand. "Thanks." I mumbled as she sat down next to me. "I called Jazmine she told me what was wrong. I'm sorry sweetheart. You deserve better than him." She said sadly and wrapped her arms around me. "It's fine mom really." I said not wanting to talk about it. I guessed she picked up on it because she quickly changed the topic. " I got something for you....." She said trailing off knowing fully well it annoyed me when she did that. "What is it?!" I asked excitedly forgetting about my boy problems for a second. "A journal." She said calmly. "A journal?" I asked confused. "Well it's more like a diary. Grandma gave it to me when I was pregnant with you. I was waiting for the right time to give it to you." She explained. I smiled at her "Thank you mom I love you." I hugged her tightly as she handed me the diary. "Well I'm gonna go wash the dishes I hope I cheered you up." She said looking at me with hopeful eyes. "You definitely did." I said smiling at her happily completely forgetting about my previous mood. "I think I'm gonna start writing in it now!!!!" I said as she was walking out. Once she left I opened the journal and sighed. Time to vent.

*End of flashback*

I closed the book right as my door creaked open revealing my wonderful husband. Harry. "Honey the real estate guy wants to talk to us." He said smiling at me warmly. Those same dimples from years ago were still there just a bit faded. "I'll be there in a minute." I said as I got up. He nodded his head and closed the door after he left. I rested the book on my nightstand deciding I should read some more later before making my way to the living room.......

Hey guys Adriana here :) Me and my bestie Jessica decided we should write a fanfic together. This is my first time writing a story so please bare with me. I've decided that if no one reads the story I'll stop posting cuz there's no point in writing then..... Okay will this is just a filler chapter so sorry it's so short.
