Spock's POV
As we reached Vulcan's surface, I looked around quickly with my eyes, noticing the area. Wait, I am at home. I looked at the door, seeing it was my Mother, Amanda. The one that supported me throughout my journey from the day I decided to become part of Starfleet. I looked over at Stryder who was turning pale, being scared of how people are going to judge her including the heat.
"Let's get you inside Stryder," I spoke to her as she nodded her head. I picked up our suitcases with one and wrapped my other arm around her shoulder, generating some of my body heat which is cold to her. She looked up at me and smiled slightly; I leaned down to her ear and whispered, "You will be alright. Just remember what I told you."
We both kept on walking towards my Mother who was waiting at the entrance of the home. Amanda waved as Stryder waved back, being relieved that someone understood her. We got to her and they both shared a look, knowing that everything will be alright.
Amanda hugged me first, myself, being in an awkward position, not used to being hugged by anyone accept my Mother. It has been a long time since then, more than seven years. When she it then hugged Stryder. "Welcome to Vulcan Stryder. Let's get you inside, get you comfortable and I will make you some tea."
"Thank you Ms. Amanda." Stryder told Amanda who smiled.
~In the house~
Spock's POV
Stryder was sitting down on the sofa while I neatly put away her things: clothing, pictures of the people we left at the USS Enterprise, her daggers: that is the most important thing I need to keep away from Father. If he finds out where she came from, he WILL send her back and I will not be able to see her again.
Amanda's POV
After in the kitchen, I walked out carrying tea, seeing Stryder sitting down on the sofa.
"Here you are sweetie," I handed over the tea as she carefully got it and smiled.
She looked at me, "Thank you for having me here Ms. Amanda."
"You're welcome. I am sure my son told you about our customs."
'Yes Ma'am. I also do not eat meat. Only vegetables and carbs."
"That's my girl. Now did he tell you about the "thing?"
"He did. Sadly I won't be able to put my skills to the test."
"I know but you will get used to it here. Now drink the tea I made you while I make dinner."
"Okay."
When I walked away, I could hear her slipping her tea away, humming slightly. I took out the vegetables that I needed with rice and started to make dinner.
Stryder's POV
I heard Ms. Amanda walk away as I smiled, kept on drinking the tea she made me. A part of me just realized something: I am going to stay here , I WILL have to get used to their customs. I can not pick a fight, the food won't be as bad, what about Spock's Father? When he finds out that I'm not- Maybe he will accept me . . . We will not know until we find out . . .
Spock's POV
After I placed Stryder's daggers in a safe place, away from Father, I headed downstairs seeing Stryder sipping her tea.
I sat down beside her on the sofa. "Worried of that Father is going to say?"
She nodded her head, "What if he finds out that I am a Woodland Elf?"
I looked at her, "No idea Stryder."
She looked back at me in complete shock. "Spock!!! You're supposed to know everything!!! L-Like that one time where you and Bones were stuck in the Time Thing and you were in "Love" with this girl that was there and-"
"Yes but-"
"There was that other time where you and that Romanian girl-"
He raised his eyebrows, "How did you know-"
"OH!!! That one time where-"
We both heard footsteps as she rose up quickly from her seat, pulling some tea on her Red Uniform. I saw that her back straighten up; I know who she was sensing. I stood up as well, my pointed ears picking up the quiet footsteps. My face was stern, knowing who was in the house.
Spock Father's
When I walked in the door, I noticed something was odd. I only took a few seconds to notice that there was someone else in the House. I entered in the living room, seeing my son Spock and a girl. I looked at Spock who looked at me back.
We all shared a quiet minute together before I was the first to talk, "Spock, who is this?"
He replied, "The person I would like to spend the rest of my life with, Father."
"Name?"
"Stryder Silverbalde."
"Occupation?"
"Well known Martial Artist on Earth. She joined Starfleet and boarded the USS Enterprise, I did not know her at first. She usually stayed hidden in the darkness."
"Where did she come from?"
Stryder's POV
That was when the conversation stopped and the world just kept on spinning. Spock and I looked at each other. How were we going to tell him . . .
