Unreallistic expectations of love

Part 2 ( because why not?)

Who can we blame for unrealistic expectations of love ?

Disney, Hallmark movies ,Nicholas Sparks, Nora Roberts .The list goes on and on .

Why are all little girls dreaming about her prince charming? Okay maybe not all of them . Just a few. But a few are dreaming .

When we get older and are not any more interested in watching Disney movies . Then we get our doses of finding the perfect guy from the Hallmark movies especially around Christmas .

Why? Is the word not cruel enough all ready . No we have to tell everyone that we are gong to get our own white knight in the shining Armour . Maybe not all of us want to be saved ? But society has that picture that we all need a guy to save us woman . What happens to men who need help ? Who helps them? I think , slowly society is getting better at accepting that some woman do not need a knight in shining Armour and can get saved by other woman and men are some time weak and need a shoulder to lean on (could be a others mans shoulder). I my self ask me : who watches these movies ( Hallmark) . Why do we cry during readying a sad book were a cliche follows another ?

Maybe these are just our more grown up versions of the Disney movies ? Maybe to laugh about the characters and the cliches ? Maybe we are watching these movies and reading those books to escape the cruel world and live in the world of cliches and romance because we do not experience this in real life .
