Boot camp

Hailey P.O.V

Boot camp was in Miami this year. I was practicing my song, Stereo Hearts. I went over the entire song about five hundred times. Once I knew that I DEFIANTLY had it, I went over to a few groups of people to see if anyone would like to chat.

I found this one girl that had brown hair sitting on a bench in front if the arena. I figured that she would be in the competition and walked over to the bench to take a seat next to her.

"This seat taken?" She shook her head. "I'm Hailey." I said. She waited a few minutes to respond. I guess she was practicing her song. "Hello, I'm Danielle." She said shyly.

When we got to the arena, there were these blue Beats by Dre In a basket with someone guarding them. It said for people in the competition to take one pair so I took one. She did the same -I'm guessing- because she had one part of the Beats on her ear and the other was resting in her shoulder. Mine was the same.

"You nervous?" I asked. "A little bit." She said quietly. "Me too." I said. "What song are you singing?" She poked her head up from a piece of paper and told me. "Sweeter." She simply said.

"I like that song. It's very..." I trailed off trying to think if a word. "Very crazy, wild, fun..." She listed a bunch of words. "Yeah. I'm singing Stereo Hearts." I said. "That's a good song." She said. I nodded and there was a silence.

It wasn't awkward. It felt like it was needed.

Danielle P.O.V

There was this girl that walked over to me. I think she said her name was Hailey? Anyway, she was very nice. We spoke for a while until someone made an announcement for us to come in.

Everyone piled into the arena with there electric blue Beats resting on their shoulders, had them on their ears, holding them in their hands, or had them attached to their pants/shorts somehow.

I rested mine on my shoulders and stood next to a bunch of people and waited for Simon, Brittany, L.A, or Demi to say something. Finally Simon piped up and said "Good afternoon everyone." Everyone return this by saying 'How are you?' And 'Good afternoons.'

"Welcome to boot camp!" He said. Everyone cheered except me. I'm kind of shy at first. I sometimes wonder how I got to boot camp. I chuckle at the thought and listen to the rest of what Simon has to say.

After Simon's long speech. Everyone sat down on the stage floor and began rehearsing the songs. Finally, he split us into groups and each group went on stage at a different time. The teens group went on first. Yay me.

"Ok, is Lynzie Henderson here?" Simon called. She got up and took the microphone from its stand. "Hello." She greeted them. "Whenever your ready." Brittany said.

The girl began to sing Want You Back beautifully. She even got the grunts right! I think that's what they're called... "Thank you." L.A said and she went back to the group of people and sat down.

"Pepper Sterling." Demi called. This Pepper girl look sang nice. I mean I have no clue what the song was, but I thought it was good.

"Lindsay Janis." Simon said9. She ended up singing Im Yours. It fit her perfectly. Especially the way she sang it. It was wonderful.

"Arin Padilla." Demi smiled into her microphone. The girl came up to the microphone. "It's pronounced Padeea." She said. (A/N like in Anthony Padilla from Smosh). "My bad, sorry." Demi apologized.

She sang Diamonds. It was magnificent. She had a flawless performance. It was amazing.

"Jared Goldstien." Simon called. I looked around until I saw a boy about fifteen, sixteen stand up and walk to the microphone. I thought that he looked kind of...well...hot? Anyhow, he sang Justin Bieber's song Boyfriend. He is a really good rapper. He sang so beautifully. I can't explain it in words.
