Cierrah's POV

Cassidy started to follow the herd and I was close behind her. I loved it when we got a chance to practice together. It was really fun. Even though she's a bit bigger than me I was pretty good when it came to fighting other wolves. Even if they were small too.

Cassidy's POV

The cold air felt wonderful against my face. We followed the herd down a rocky hill, then up a grassy trail. We even crossed the babbling brook. We needed to get as close as possible to the smaller buck as we could. I glanced over and noticed that Cierrah was getting impatient by snapping her jaws.

"Remember that patience is the key." "Sorry I keep forgetting." 'It's okay I still sometimes have a hard time remembering it too." Once we got close enough to the herd I crouched down on my belly with my ears back. Cierrah did the same. "You ready?" "Yes I am." "Alright on the count of three." "Alright." 1....2....3. "Lets go!"

As we ran faster so did the herd. There was one buck that we both had our eyes on. I leaped up and tried to grab his throat, but instead I missed and nipped the tip of his ear. I tried again and success. I started dragging my paws on the ground trying to get him to slow down. He began to slow down, but wouldn't come to a complete stop. Just then I noticed that Cierrah had got a hold of his back leg which made him lose his balance and fall down.

The buck's breathing began to slow down. His herd leaving him behind. Only after what seemed like forever, he stopped moving. We each kept a good death grip on him just in case. Once we knew he was dead, we released our grips. "Good job Cierrah!!" I said rubbing my nose against her cheek. "Thanks!" Her tail wagging while letting out a victory howl. "You did a good job too." "Thanks!"
