Chapter 3

I woke up on the floor with my hands tied behind my back. I squirmed and tried to sit up. "No use" I heard. Three boys and a girl holding onto one emerged.

"I didn't say here I said the roof tops" The black haired one said.

"I went exploring" I said frantic

"Why where do you live?" The girl put her hands on her hips.

"They made it official that supers aren't allowed to be seen or we are sent straight to the island." I said, "They- They might have my parents" I hung my head low.

I heard footsteps get closer and I was placed into a hug. I broke the ropes and pushed the person off of me.

"Yeah you can stay with us let me ask gramps" A new kid said walking away

"What is your name" The blonde knelt before me.

"Jamie" I mumbled standing up.

"Gramps wants to see you"the kid said.

"Where is he?" I asked. The red one pushed me towards a door. "He's super old, so"

"Ben I can HEAR you" the man said. My eyes widened, I know that voice, I opened the door.

"You ." I growled. "The ass that threw his drink" I smiled comfortably.

"That's how you treat your customers?" He asked laughing. "I was just messing with you."

"It wasn't very funny."

"So you finally realize the world how it truly is, wasin sorry about your parents" he said. I nodded. "They were once my comerades before Dewey took office. You're pretty strong for a frail girl" he said.

"Who are you calling frail?" I snapped."I single handedly took down your grandsons."

"You'll never get that opportunity again." The dark haired one grumbled

"Is she the reason why your back hurts?" Gramps asked.

He looked my direction and nodded. "We both fell off the building."

"Yet she is unscathed. You both know her?"

They nodded.

"This is Ben, Chris, Lauren, and Tony" he said. Ben was the one who hugged me and Chris was the one who gave me the note. "You must have not trained your powers well. Maybe this isn't the place for you.

In three seconds from moving in with my brother. "Put your fire on" he said,

"Fine" Ben said flaming, I saw the fire and I yelled, I turned to try and run but Ben grabbed me. I started sweating and squirming. I scrunched up my face and tried to relax. It was like a hot bath.

Ben let me go concerned and fell to the ground, it didn't hurt at all, but my skin smoked. "Im sorry but this isn't the karate kid.... you aren't going to train me mercilessly before I'm ready to go out in the real world. If anything I could stay with my brother if I'm an issue." I got up slowly.

"Mmm." he ignored me. "Thomas correct? Theres a reason why your parents sent you down here. Me." Gramps smirked. Ben looked at him and then looked at me. I gave him a cold stare. Daring him to do it.

"Grab her!" Gramps hissed

Ben came at me. I grabbed his arm and slammed him onto the floor.
