Prologue
Death.
One word that so many people fear, they think of how it may come about, and how they would prefer it to happen. Many people try and not think about it at all, with it only creeping into their nightmares.
However what if you couldn't die, and even if you could it was near enough impossible. With you cheating death you could read minds, never grow old, heal people, run at a speed unimaginable and hear from miles away. I believe many would choose the latter.
But with everything there is a downfall, for nothing is perfect in this world. Even with these amazing abilities, you thirst for something that keeps every person alive. You are wanted by many, and memories are so vivid that you feel that you are doing the act over and over again, in some cases it's heavenly, but when it is something you may wish to forget for eternity it is the most horrible experience than anyone could imagine, the only way to stop it is to totally lose who you are.
But to enable you to not die you have to fight death itself, you have to have the will to want to live so much that the pain that your body goes through becomes almost invisible. The pain itself is worse than childbirth, worse than going through an operation without any medication to remove the pain. These events combined do not even explain the pain that courses throughout your whole entire body. After this process you are no longer human, you don't have a beating heart, no blood pumping through your body, no genes; and if you wanted to you could stop your whole entire human conscience disappear.
You may be asking what do you become if you are not human no more? And how do I know so much? Well I am what I'm describing. I survived the process to tell my story. It wasn't by choice that I became what I am; it was a selfish desire of another. What got me through though was love; my love was so strong that it couldn't let me die.
But in answer to your question as to what I am;
I am a vampire.
