Chapter 1 Riddle Me This

I was walking down the crazy street of Gotham, as I herd yelling and fighting coming from the ally way I climbed the fire escape to see what was going on.

I looked at two men fighting their was a man in a thief out fit, and then their was a gun in a green suet with a purple gloves and purple tie that had a question mark on it, he had his gold question mark cane in his hand, a purple mask and a hat the had another question mark on it. I knew that man any where the Riddler and that other person was probably one of his goons.

I listened to their argument. "You try and defy me after all I did for you?" The Riddler asked in a sad and yet angry voice thou I could tell the sad voice was fake. The riddlers goon got on his knees and begged for mercy. "Please boss it was an accident I didn't mean it!"

The riddler put his elbow on his cane putting his chin on his hand and signed speaking in a calm voice. "Yes well calling the cops, that is a accident one dose make very often don't you think? Now riddle me this, what is up watching and stays in the showed, well for now at least." His eyes glared at me, then back at the man. "B-batman?" The riddlers goon asked.

"Wrong." The riddler said and the man jumped at the riddler with a knife but before he could I jumped down and garbed my gun then shot the man. "The answer was me."

"Correct." The riddler said smiling he asked me in a calm voice. "Well Ill be seeing you again soon but first, riddle me this, 3 days time it will has two story's with lots two see and do."

I knew that easy in 3 days the new mall will be open he means the mall.

It's been 3 days I'm at the mall and I'm walking around I then hear static from the speakers on the ceiling. "Oh sorry about that, mic having some difficulties, any who Its me the riddler now I need any one who is not a girl named Hope Queen to sit down on the ground, NOW!" He yelled the last part  then turned off his mic.

People sat down as I l was the only one standing one of the riddlers workers came out and showed me the way to go see the riddler.

When I got their the riddler turned back on his mic saying with his back facing me. "So I have 5 riddles for my friend Hope her, everyone she gets wrong some one dies everyone she gets right no one dies. Are you ready."

I smirked ready to answer the riddlers riddles and told him. "Sure bring it on."

He then smiles with a evil laugh saying. "Lot of confidence in your self." He turned facing me and asked twirling his cane around. "Riddle me this, I have a face you wound find 13 any place."

"Easy," I told him proud, "a clock."

He told me another riddle still smiling some. "Correct, now what letter is like an escape." "That's easy." I told him. "The letter G, I know you can do better Mr. Riddler."

With a look of confidence in his self he asked me his next riddle. "Next riddle, what's red, black, and wight all over?"

I gulped and asked not so sure if I was right or wrong. "Red, read?"

His mouth fell open. "Was I right?" I asked leaning forward some. "Sir?" He then got a hold of him self. "Yes your correct." He finally said to me.

(Riddler POV)

How'd she answer that I mean that's my hardest riddle I have to anyone no one ever answers it, it's basically the one is use when I want to kill some one.

(Hopes POV)

"Your doing good mis. Queen that was my hardest riddle." He said with a evil smirk. "Thanks your riddles are great, but kinda easy." I shout have told him that because he got kinda mad with me and asked me putting his hand over the mic. "Are you cheating?"

I looked at my hands and showed them to him. He twitched his eye brow showing that I'm probably going to be dead in a few minutes. When he said the next one it was in a sorta pissed off voice, and a little deep to like when you about to kill your pray. "Last one, riddle me this, What has branches but has no leaves?"

I thought for a second but then it came. "That's two easy, the branches of government."

He turned back to his mic telling the people of the mall. "Mis. Queen has been an excellent sport so I'll be taking her with me, you may now carry on with your day." He turned off his mic and told two of his goons in a low tone. "Grab her."

Two of his men grabbed me by my arms. "Ha!" I yelled out he turned to face me. "What?" He asked shrugging his shoulders. "I'm willing to go with you, you don't have to grab me by my arms." "Yes but this is just for proaction young apprentice." He told me then walked off as I was held by the two goons following him.

We sat in the riddlers car and he finally said. "Let her loose." So my arms were free and I asked the riddler my question.

"So you said their be 5 riddles?" "their is." He told me nodding. "Then what's the 5th one?" I told him in his voice. "Don't mock me I'm the riddler." "Ya and I'm Hope Queen from Starling City." I told him crossing my arms leaning back in the chair.

He stopped the car. He looked at me and asked. "5th riddle what was stuck but now is back." I looked at his eyes he had a crazy look in them like he was desrpet to hear my answer.

"My cousin  Oliver Queen was stuck on an island for 5 years now he's back is that it?"

He banged his hand on the steering wheel. "Yes I was right you are Oliver's cousin."
