Stiles was dozing off in class, his head resting on his text book and a small puddle of drool collecting on the surface of the book. It was the Monday after spring break and half the class was just as tired as Stiles.
"Good morning students!" The teachers loud voice made Stiles jump up in his seat, looking around dazed for a moment before realizing he was in class.
He wiped off the drool from his cheek and used his sleeve to clean off the small puddle on his textbook, he looked up at the teacher who paused for a moment to allow the students to wake up.
"We have a new student joining us for the rest of the school year, I'd like you all to meet Sophie Weiss,"
Stiles looked over to see a girl walk into the class room, her auburn colored hair bouncing behind her as she walked.
The first thing Stiles noticed was the bright smile on her face, and the way her green eyes seemed to light up as she entered.
She stood next to the teacher, looking like an elementary school student on their first day of school. Her yellow shirt was tucked into her white skinny jeans and her black shoes reminded Stiles of ballet flats.
"Ms. Weiss, you can have a seat next to Mr. Stilinski," This caught Stiles full attention as he heard the teacher say his name.
He watched as the 16 year old walked down towards him and took a seat next to him at the desk, she set her bag down next to her on the floor and set her textbook in front of her on the desk.
Stiles felt that there was something.... Different, about Sophie. Not the bad kind of different, just that there was something off about her.
"Hey, are you okay?" Stiles was brought out of his thoughts by the soft voice of Spohie.
"Y-Yeah! Fit as a fiddle!" Stiles said a little too loudly, catching the attention of a few other students who glanced their way.
"That's good, it's just you were staring at me like there was something on my face," Sophie said and Stiles felt his face getting hot.
'Of course I'd get caught staring at the new girl like some type of creep,' Stiles thought, it was as if awkward moments followed him around like the plague.
Sophie remained quiet while the teacher spoke, and Stiles felt as if she thought him some type of creep.
"You and your partner will follow the instructions in your text book, and mix up the ingredients to create a foamy substance," The teacher explained and the pairs of students started to open their books and put on the protective gear.
Sophie put on her goggles and gloves, the gloves made a weird squeaky sound as she put them on which made her giggle a little. Stiles smiled a little at her giggle, it was cute.
Sophie started to read through the instructions and was putting the ingredients into the beaker, each ingredient changing the mixture slightly.
Stiles read through the book, realizing he had no idea what to do or how to even read the instructions, none of it made sense to him.
'Spring Break turned my brain into putty,' he thought with a small sigh.
"H-Hey, um. Sophie?" Stiles whispered and she glanced over at him.
"D-Do you know what this means?" Stiles asked, pointing to one of the instructions and she nodded, explaining it to him.
The rest of the class consisted of Stiles asking Sophie questions about what they were supposed to do, and Sophie explaining it to him.
