Atlantis : The Legend

The Curse

Once there was a prosperous land called Atlantis . It was named after its beautiful Queen , Queen Atlanta.
Queen Atlanta was very beautiful , she had blond hair and hazel grey eyes . She was proud of her beauty .
Her kingdom Atlantis was very special because it had its land in a structure of three circles .
She had a ver cruel attitude towards all those who spoke against her . She threw them into the deepest dongens or would make them starve until they spoke good of her .
One day the Queen visited her sister the kingdom's prophetess .
" Astra , what is my future ? Does it give me a choice between prosperity and wealth and wisdom and books ? Ha ! I shall never chose wisdom over prosperity . Or I shall end up like you ! My choice and yours has the difference like bronze and gems ! Oh not bronze it too holds quality as well . It should be copper and gems ! " said Atlanta to her sister scornfully .
" Mark my words dear sister ! Thy choice and mine do have thier sweets and sours but my choice gave me life and thy gave thou power . " said Astra patiently .
" And how bitter is your choice may I ask ? " asked Atlanta.
" I may shall never see the bitter for the overflowing sweet soothing of my family shall never make me even try to think of it . This is what I have but thou hath not " said Astra pointing to her children who were playing with their clay toys .
Atlanta got angry with what Astra said . She went outside and thought . She knew Astra had a point . She decided to show Astra what she had and what she meant by power .
The next day Astra was invited to a celebration where Atlanta was the host .
Astra dressed in her best clothes went to this particular 'celebration' .
Atlanta was talking to a forien minister when she pretended to notice Astra .
" Oh my dear sister ! Have art thou h're to beg ? " questioned Atlanta pretending to look worried .
"Now let me take you to Cassandra my lady in waiting and let her dress you " said Atlanta smirking .
Astra got dressed into a pretty dress .
After seeing her come back Atlanta planned to hurt her .
" Oh dear ! Forgive me dear ministers to have brought a beggar dressed in rich clothes but the consequences are unfortunate . Oh she should be set right !" said Atlanta and threw a glass of wine on Astra .
Astra felt humiliated but she thought that it should be tit for tat.
" Unfortunate it is my ministers for what is wealth before a family ? What is power before wisdom ? My dear sister here has no family other than me and realises its consequences my poor dear sister ! " said Astra .
" You ! You ! Gaurds take her away to the dongens ! " said Atlanta .
The gaurds took her away . And kept here in there for severals days but she refused to give up . The Queen the ordered her gaurds not to feed her but yet again she refused to give up .
At last the Queen said ," Proud of thy children aren't thou ? Soldiers ! " . She commanded them to bring Astra's children .
" Slay them before her eyes ! " she screamed .
"No my children " sobbed Astra seeing her children slaughtered .
"You! You will pay ! From a mother's heart comes this curse in one night in one day shall this land sink drowning its people and her Queen ! " prophasised Astra .
IT WAS THAT VERY NIGHT THAT ATLANTIS IS SAID TO HAVE SUNK , DROWNING ALL ITS PEOPLE AND THEIR QUEEN .
