i sat next to jamie on the bus, it was fairly crowded as our stop was one of the last, we were sat in the middle of the bus and virtually everyone was looking at us, when we first got on, but that had gone now and everyone was back to conversing with there freinds, i looked around and saw the groups starting to form there were 'nerds' at the front, 'jocks' and 'populars' at the back then everyone else in the middle. i hadn't spoken to my brother since we left home, he didn't talk much anyway and he hardly ever wanted to be seen with me at our old school so i knew he would want to do the same here once we had our schedules. my head was leaning against the window and i was looking out as we pulled into school, i quickly pulled my bag up from the floor and onto my lap and stood up along with everyone else on the bus, when it stopped we all filed off and seperated, jamie stood by my side looking around
'come on then let's go get our schedules, so you can go find some freinds and ditch me' i said pulling him towards the school, i heard him laugh before walking next to me. when we got our schedules we seperated, we had completly different lessons and homerooms which was good, i found my locker and emptied my bag, before looking at what lessons i had today, i had english, trig, art, gym and physics, so an alright first day, i loved art at gym so i was looking forward too them. i pulled the textbooks i needed back out of my locker and closed it just as the bell went. i looked down at my schedual to see where my homeroom was, it was room 364 which happened to be right infront of me. i quickly walked in, it was empty apart from the teacher, i walked up to her and cleared my throat
'hiya i'm paige, paige dean, the new student' she smiled up at me and held out her hand for me to shake which i quickly did
'hello paige, i'm Mrs stevens, if you just wait up front with me when everyones in we'll find you a seat' she smiled at me again then went back to typing on her computer. i stood next to her desk and watched as students filed in, some shot me a smile while others just walked to there desks, i looked around there was one seat left, Mrs stevens tapped on my arm and pointed to the seat 'go sit there paige, thats everyone in' i quickly walked to the seat, it was in the back row between two boys, one with blonde touseled hair, wearing a white singlet and light brown shorts and the other had chocolate brown hair, his outfit being a leather jacket, black skinnies and white singlet, it looked very similar to my brothers outfit, but somehow it looked better on him. i sat down quickly while everyone talked with each other, after a few minutes the boy to my right (the brown haired one) moved his desk a bit closer and leant over to my desk
'so i'm guessing your the new girl then babycakes?' he asked
'yeah thats me new girl, i don't actually have a name' i air quoted new girl and he laughed quietly
'i'm tyler, so whats your name babycakes?' he asked with a smirk starting to appear
'paige, but why don't you just keep calling me babycakes, handsome?' i asked, playfully flirting with Tyler and moving myself more in his direction
'well, if you keep up calling me handsome i just might' he smirked before moving back in his seat just as miss started talking
'right then students, listen up' she waited for everyones attention 'we've got a new student today, paige why don't you come to the front and tell us about yourself?' i sat back in my seat dreading this
'good luck babycakes' tyler whispered in my ear as i stood up and walked to the front, when i got there i stood next to miss who encouraged me to start, what was i supposed to say!
'uhh...i'm page, im 16, i've just moved from england with my brother...' i didn't know what else to say and looked up at all the faces looking at me, but one caught my eye inperticuler, it was tyler's he sat there trying to hold back a laugh, and that was it, i couldn't have him laugh when i wasn't trying to be funny i hated it when people did that so i sighed before starting again 'so technically im english, and no i don't drink tea its frigging disgusting and i do not eat cucumber sandwhiches with the queen, have you ever tried a cucumber sandwhich, no? dont your not missing out on anything special' that earnt me a few laughs and tyler looked a bit shocked
'say something british' someone shouted i turned to them it was a black haired boy in the middle of the class
'like what?' i asked
'hello govner' he immitated and english accent, i took a deep breath and bagan again,
'hello govner, how are you this fine day?' most people laugghed and i went back to my seat, where Tyler was laughing,i sat down before he spoke
'really, hello govner, thats the best you could do' i laughed at him
'i had a request handsome, i bet you don't get many of those' i playfully stroked his hair and he looked shocked at what i'd said
'oh don't worry babycakes i get many more requests then you' he replied, and as soon as he did the bell went signalling the end of homeroom, everyone left quickly, and i lagged behind checking my schedule.
