The tires spun repeatedly fast but not as quick as Charlie's heartbeat. The car zig-zagged it's way through the ungodly traffic. Unfortunately for him, it was rush-hour. He gaged the gas pedal and repeatedly looked through the side-view mirror watching the cars precedent chase him. The OBJECTS LOOK CLOSER THEN THEY APPEAR was printed in his mind but was quickly swept away by the feelings of fear and stress. Pearls of leaking body-fluid was formed on Charlie's forehead, not to mention the numerous other places where there would be sweat. The smell of burning rubber made it's way into his nostrils making Charlie wince. He checked the mirror again and fixated his eyes on the road with his hands tightly gripped on the steering wheel. Charlie hadn't chosen the best car to steal. It's rims where rusty and so was the paint. What seemed to have been a black Honda Civic was now a brownish piece of running debris. The car had suffered less damage than Charlie though. His face didn't even look like what a normal face should, it looked more like a moulted pack of patched skin. One eye was almost swollen shut and beneath it was a purple bruise. The other one was struggling to keep it's lid from closing. Dried blood had trickled down the side of his face and down his nose. The beaten teen had a large cut on his nose and it was bent sideways. Anyone could obviously tell that it was broken. His lips were bruised and his face was a bright red pigment. Charlie jumped as the car chasing him behind collided with a car going the opposite way sending it in the air and crashing in the middle of the road. A huge wave of relief took over and Charlie and he immediately let out a sigh. As he avoided the cars, the only thing Charlie was thinking of at that moment was "what the fuck have I gotten myself into".
