Trapped

Chapter 7

That night Samara has the same dream and over and over she keeps thinking of that same scene with her little sister covered in blood saying, "Welcome back". The same words replay over and over in her mind.

And by morning, the thoughts still bothered her.

Victoria is back at home and Samara is sitting up in her room by herself while Presley is downstairs watching TV.

As the same scene from her dream plays inside of her mind, she tries to shake it off at first and think, "Well maybe if I just listen to music or read it will go away".

So she tries music first, that doesn't work. So then she turns to her second option, reading.

She grabs one of her favorite books and begins to read but after reading the first chapter and a half, the thoughts still haunt her mind.

So she puts the book back on the shelf and just holds her head.

"Why won't they go away? What will make them leave?" She thinks to herself.

"I don't want to go back, no no no no.." She says to herself as she's shaking her head.

"Welcome back" Presley's image appears again in her mind as she raises the knife and then it's over.

Her hands begin to shake and she starts to cry.

After she's cried enough, she wipes away the tears and goes back downstairs.

She sits on the couch with her little sister and watches TV with her for a little bit.

After a few minutes, she suggests to go outside.

"Okay" Presley agrees and she turns the TV off, sets the remote down on the couch, and walks out the door behind Samara.

"Where are you girls going?" Rachel asks from her bedroom window where she could see them outside.

      "Just around the block, and we''ll be back" Samara says.

"Okay well be careful" Rachel says.

        "We will" Presley shouts back as they walk off.

They walk up around the block, up by Amber's house.

"Where are we going?" Presley asks.

      "I don't know, just around" Samara answers.

They pass Amber's house and they see her saying goodbye to her mom and then walking off of the porch, carrying her bible in her hand.

"Oh, hey guys" she greets them.

     "Hey" Samara says.

"Hi" Presley says.

"Where are you guys going?" Amber asks.

       "Oh we're just walking around the block" Presley says.

"Oh well hey we''re having a devotion class with the youth group if you guys wanna come. I'm heading that way now. Its down the road at Gabbi's house".

     "Okay, I'll have to ask my mom though" says Samara.

"Alright, well I'll see you later. Hopefully I'll see you at devotion class" says Amber before she walks ahead of Samara.

      "Okay, see ya" Samara says.

"Bye" Presley smiles and waves goodbye to her sister's friend.

They keep walking down the road and see everyone pulling up in cars and walking into devotion class.

"Are we going to go in there?" Presley asks.

     "No" Samara answers.

"Well then where are we going?" Presley asks.

      "Follow me, I wanna check out that empty house right there" Samara says as she walks to the house next to Gabbi's that's been empty for years.

Presley doesn't say anything, she just follows right behind her older sister.

The door is unlocked and the girls walk in.

"This house looks kinda old" Presley says.

     "Yeah, I wonder how old this place is" Samara says.

"Should we even be here?" Presley asks.

      "We'll be fine, don't worry. We're just looking around and then we'll leave" says Samara.

Across the street, two friends Nate and Jace run out of Gabbi's house before devotion class is about to start.

Nate runs into the empty house where Presley and Samara are.

"Hey where are you going?" Jace yells and hurries after him into the house.

Nate plays a trick on Jace by hiding in one of the bedroom closets so he can come out and scare him.

A few minutes pass by, and Amber and Liam come out to go hunt for the boys.

"Where the hell could they have gone?" Liam says looking all around him.

      "I don't know but we better find them because devotion class is about to start soon" says Amber.

"You guys need help?" Trent asks as he approaches the couple.

They hear yelling come from the empty house and recognize it's Jace's voice.

"Nope I think we've got 'em" says Liam.

Liam, Amber, and Trent follow each other inside to go get the boys.

Victoria sees everyone heading into the empty house so she decides to run out and try to catch up to them to see what's going on.

She follows right behind and goes inside.

"I got you!! You should be seen your face when I jumped out at you" says Nate laughing hard.

     "Dude it wasn't funny at all, You really scared me" says Jace.

"Yeah it was, it was hilarious!!" Nate says and keeps laughing.

Amber, Liam, Trent and Victoria come walking into the bedroom.

"Guys what are you doing in here? We've got to go back because devotion class starts in like five minutes" says Amber.

      "Uhh, we were just playing around" says Jace.

"Yeah, I scared him and he nearly peed his pants" says Nate.

       "No I didn't" says Jace defending himself.

"Yeah you did" says Nate.
  
      "Uh no I didnt" says Jace arguing back.

"Uh yeah you did" Nate arguing back.

"Guys!" Amber yells, "C'mon stop arguing and let's go".

They head towards the door but Samara has locked the door and she stands in front of it with a knife behind her back.

"Nobody is going anywhere" says Samara with the most serious look on her face.

     "Oh Samara, quit joking around. We need to get back to Gabbi's" says Amber.

"Wait I didn't even know She was in here?!" says Liam.

     "It's not a joke, I said nobody is leaving and I mean what I say" says Samara.

"She's just trying to scare us, don't believe her guys" says Jace.

She brings the knife in her hand around to the front and makes it face everyone.

"You wanna go first?" Samara puts the knife up to Jace's face.

"N-N-No..." Jace stutters and shakes in fear.

"Then I suggest you keep your mouth shut" says Samara as she slowly takes the knife away from his face and walks back to guard the door.
