In the sea of sweaty wild teenagers, I started to panic.
Where is she? I searched the crowd. For a minute she was there. then she was gone.
" Caithlin? Where are you?" I shouted her name.
suddenly, someone tugged my shirt.
" I'm here." she said.
" Thank God! Where were you?" I demanded an answer.
" Some guy pulled me thinking I was his friend. then I got lost. Good thing I heard you calling me." she explained.
It was clear she was a little scared because she was panting.
" Come you." I pulled her close to me. I hugged her tight.
" Don't you run off from me again."
" I won't. Don't worry." she said.
" Good." I replied.
She just smiled. Oh that smile of hers. I couldn't resist of not smiling back. She means the world to me.
I love everything that she is -her ups and downs, her weaknesses, her temper, her love.
I know that she needs me and I swear I'll do what ever it takes to keep her safe. Her parents trust me and so does she.
We were watching a concert of her favorite band. It's quite rare for a group like them preform in our place so, I took the chance of surprising her with the tickets. Oh, if you could have seen her reaction upon knowing we'll be watching their concert. She jumped for joy and even kissed me.
I love to see her so happy. It makes me happy too. But i guess, she's not enjoying herself tonight.
" Are you alright?" I asked.
" Yeah. I'm fine." she answered wearly.
I know she's already tired by the looks of her teary eyes.
" We better go. You're tired already." I said.
"No. I'm fine. really"
" Let's go." I insisted
I know it was wrong for me to do that but i really have to. She was turning pale.
Caithlin might faint or what. I even offered her a piggyback ride to the bus station.
" Are you sure?" she asked.
" Yes. It's just a few walks away." I assured her.
" Alright."
I had loads to carry. but I didn't mind. I didn't realize she fell asleep. My baby girl.
When we reached the station, I slowly placed down the bags trying not to wake her up but unfortunately, she did.
" Sorry to wake you up." I apologised.
" That's ok." she rubbed her eyes. " So, when will the bus arrive again?"
" Hmm.." I stared at my wristwatch. " about 20 minutes from now."
"Ohh." she sighed.
" You could sleep in my shoulder if you want."
" Yey." her eyes brightened.
Right before she sat on the bench, I took her hand.
" Caithlin?"
" Yes?" she asked still with that smile in her face.
The night was getting deep. Cold breeze began to blow. I felt her shiver from her hands. People around were busy doing their own business even if it was in the wiee hours already. Sleep was in their faces like zombies roaming in the station.
