"Come on! Just jump off the rock into the water and before you reach the water shift!" My idiot best friend Keagan yells to me from the ground while I'm up on a huge rock above our pond we claimed years ago.

"We are so stupid and gonna get into a bunch of trouble if we get caught Keagan!" I yell back to him, taking off my shirt so I'm only in a tank top. Thank god my it goes to my mid thigh.

"Mia rethink this!" My older brother Max yells.

"Oh no I'm not backing down from a dare!!" I scream as I run and jump off the rock doing a flip and hearing my clothes rip I shift into my medium sized wolf. Next thing I knew we were coming up for air and swimming towards Max and Keagan. I hear Keagan laughing as I trot to a tree and Max hands me my clothes so I can dress. I come and out from behind the tree and I grin as the two boys walk up to me. Keagan puts his hand on my shoulder.

"Good job Mia, you're tough." He says laughing and draping his arm around my shoulders as we start walking the trail towards the pack house before we get caught. By mom or the Alpha or the guards.

Max walks on the other side of me and is shaking his head. "You are so dumb Mia. Why do you always try to be a step ahead of Keagan?"

A smile spreads it's way on my face as I shove Max in the shoulder. "Oh Max, why do you always have to be a step behind us?" Keagan high fived me for that one while Max just rolled his eyes.

"Come on brother, lighten up! It's just a small dare! She didn't get hurt!" Keagan said smiling while squeezing my shoulders. I wiggled out of his grip and started walking backwards.

"Okay guys I'm bored it's almost dark and I smell, so I wanna get home." I said ginning. "Sooooo, I'll race ya!" I said screaming turning around and running at full speed. I could hear Keagan and Max say something under their breathe as I heard their footsteps follow behind me. I speed up but I know they are still on my heels.

"Think you can win that easily, huh, princess?" Keagan says grinning and running in front of me.

I hate that nickname so much I growl and speed up next to him and push him. I hear a growl from him and I listen to him falling behind. I hear grunts behind me and turn my head Keagan was lying over Max. I started laughing and continued to run. Those idiots tripped over each other. I see the last bit of trees and I step on to the pack territories as a guard stepped out in front of me I skidded to a stop, my head almost meeting his chest. I hear Max and Keagan stop a couple feet away and I turned around as they hid behind a tree. I look back up at the guard. He has shaggy black hair and tough looking jaw that's clenched, his eyes are a greyish blue but are clouded over like he's mind linking someone. He then nods and looks down at me. He's a few feet taller so I have to look up at him. He grabs my arm and starts pulling me towards the pack house. I struggle to get out of his hold for I do not like being dragged. I hear the leaves crunch under my feet and I turn to see Keagan running towards me. I grin and punch the guard in the stomach and he loosens his grip which gives me the pleasure of slipping and running towards Keagan who grabs my hand and stops moving. The guard scolds at us, finally realizing who we are. Max comes up behind us and shakes his head walking past the guard towards the pack house.

"Come on." The guards husky voice booms through the trees. I sigh, with my hand still in Keagans we walk knowing Dad would be mad at us. I get a mindlink from Keagan.

"They just don't know the meaning of fun."

"My dad is gonna be so mad at us though!"

"Oh well I'll back you up, don't worry." I shake my head knowing he'll take the blame like he normally does.

"Why do you think Max is acting like he's the boss?" I say as we go up the steps of the house.

Keagan shrugs his shoulders in response as I hear my dad yelling my name. My wolf tucks her tail under in fear. I let go on Keagans hand and we go up the steps to the alphas office where my dad is standing red in the face.
