A small girl awoke to a throbbing pain in her head and the sounds of gunshots. She whimpered at the loud sounds, curling further back into the small alleyway she found herself, clutching a plush of a cabbit((a cute cross between a cat and a rabbit)). She eventually fell back asleep, crying.
~~~~~*Scout's POV*~~~~~
He sprinted across the battlefield, avoiding bullets and covering for Spy as he ran back to our base with the BLU brief case. Once he got there, we all cheered, then started heading back to the base. As Scout passed by an alleyway, he heard crying and thought he saw someone in there. Thinking they might be hurt, he ran up to the base, catching up to Medic. "Hey, Doc! You gotta come with me! I think someone might be hurt in one of the alleys!" Scout said, panting slightly. The German groaned slightly, rolling his eyes. "Fine, Scout. But if zis iz one of your pranks, you vill be on the receiving end of my syringe gun." "It's not one, I promise." The two went back out, Scout leading the Medic over to the alleyway.
~~~~~*Girl's POV*~~~~~
The girl woke up, hearing voices. "Iz zis ze alley?" "Yeah. Just gimme a sec." After a moment, a bright light was shone in the alleyway, a young man shining a flashlight in the night darkened alley. She let out a noise of surprise, whimpering and trying to move further back into the corner, bit the light shown down on her, much to her horror. Both men looked at her in surprise. "A kid?" "Vhat iz she doing here?" The older man walked over to her, kneeling down and looking at her. "Vhat iz your name?" He asked, his expression curious and hard. She didn't respond, looking up at him with fear, trying to think. What was her name? She stuttered, trying to find an answer, when the younger man came over, kneeling next to the older man, smiling kindly at her. "Hey, kid. My name's Billy, but you can call me Scout if you want." She looked up at him, feeling a little less scared. He seemed nice, and neither of them have hurt her. She said very quietly, clutching her Ryo-Oki plush close. "I..i dont remember..." The older man looked a bit more curious, looking over the small girl, clad only in an oversized purple t-shirt, a bit too skinny and covered in dirt. "Vhere are your parents?" She closed her eyes, trying to think back, but clutched her head in pain, wincing. "I d-don't remember...!" Billy looked over at the man in worry. "Maybe she has amnesia." "Perhaps, but I vould have to run a few tests to make sure." The older man frowned in worry, then looked back over at the girl, holding his hand out. "Come vith us. You'll be safe at our base." She looked up at him, not sure if she could completely trust him. After a moment, Billy reached his hand out to her too, giving her a smile like before. "C'mon, kid. I'm promise you won't get hurt. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a needle in my ey-ow!" He tried to do the motions, but wound up poking himself in the eye, rubbing his closed eye gently. The girl smiled a little, then reached out towards the older man's hand, letting him pick her up and take her out of the alley and towards a larger building. There were other people in there, clad in red like the man who was carrying her and Billy, but she let out a scared squeak, hiding her face in her plush and the man's shoulder. He patted her back gently, shooshing her. "Don't vorry, they vont hurt you..." She relaxed a bit, turning back around to see Billy opening a set of doors with a big red plus sign on them. She was handed over to Billy, him giving her a friendly smile. She gave him a very small smile back, showing him her plush. "This is Ryo-Oki. She's a cabbit!" She said, her voice sounding at a normal voice for the first time today. He raised an eyebrow, then patted Ryo-oki's head, playing along. "Hey, Ryo-Oki! I'm Scout." She made her plush nuzzle his cheek. "She likes you, Billy!" She gave him a smile. He grinned. "I'm not surprised. I am the coolest guy ever, after all!" She giggled as he chuckled at her. She looked over to see the older man looking over at them. "Herr Scout, can you set her on ze examination table?" Scout nodded, setting her down on it, staying near by. She looked up at the doctor as he started giving her a thorough check up. "Um...who are you?" He looked at her with a softer expression, giving her a small smile. "I am ze Medic, but you may call me Josef." She nodded smiling up at him. He noticed a nasty bruise on her head, touching it very gently, pulling back when she flinched. "Did you hit your head, Mädchen?" "I don't remember...I think so..." She frowned, looking down. "I can remember small things...like Ryo-Oki" she held up her plush for emphasis. "And I like reds, white, and purple" He frowned thoughtfully. After a while of Medic looking her over, and her answering his questions, she yawned, rubbing her eyes tiredly. "'m tired..." He looked at her with sympathy. "Alright, you can sleep on the cot in here as soon as we get you cleaned off. She nodded, not complaining when he brought her into the bathroom, took off her dirty shirt, and scrubbed her down, trying to get most of the dirt off of her((sort of like how a parent helps their kid bathe)). Someone knocked on the door, it opening a crack. Scout reached his hand in, holding a pair of his boxers and a big shirt. "Hey, I brought these down. Figured they'd be better than her wearing the dirty one she had on. Don't worry, they're clean." Medic nodded, reaching over to take them and set them on the side of the sink. "Sank you, Scout." "No problem, Doc." The door shut. Medic dried her off, helping her put the clothes scout got for her on. He carried her back out into the room, laying her down on the cot and putting her plushie next to her, the small girl falling asleep almost instantly.
~~~~~*medic's POV*~~~~~
He looked at her for a few minutes, frowning, then left the room. Scout had already left, heading off to bed. Spy was waiting for me outside my clinic, frowning. "Ze others told me they saw you bringing a child in wit' you." He nodded, knowing He can't keep her a secret. "Yes. Ze Scout found her in an alley. She has no memory of her past, and vas tired, hungry, and filzy. I couldn't in my right mind just leave her out zere to die." The Frenchman sighed, looking at him with slight sympathy. "Fine, Josef. S'e can stay. Although, if we find 'er parents, she must return to them." Medic nodded. "Danku, Herr Spy." Spy gave a slight smile. "It iz alright, mon ami. Get some sleep." I smirked at him in a friendly way. "You too, Spy." He nodded, heading off to his room. I went to my room as well, changing and laying down in bed, falling asleep.
