I snuggled in closer to the cool pillow as the sun came in through the window. I put my hand on the pillow and my eyes shot open as I felt the pillow was actually a person, which was Damien. I freaked out and pushed him away, which caused him to fall off the bed with a loud thump. "What the hell, Rose?" Damien shouted at me. "You were touching me!" I shouted back at him as I felt a blush appear on my cheeks. Damien stood up as the door opened. Xavier stood there with his wife, a smile plastered on both of their faces. "Ah. I see both of you are up. Both of you should come downstairs to eat breakfast now, then get ready for school." Xavier said to us. "Wait, I have to go to school? Why though?" I asked Xavier. I thought being kidnapped meant not going to school. "Well I did say you two would be bonding. Besides, you two would learn something from each other there." Xavier answered me. I nodded and followed them and Damien downstairs to the dining room. We all ate breakfast together and I found out vampires can eat actual food, but along with a glass of blood though. After breakfast, I followed Damien back upstairs to our room and I found a girl's school uniform laying on the bed. Damien went into the bathroom so I decided to change in the room. I changed quickly and when Damien went downstairs, I went into the bathroom and did what I had to do and the went downstairs. Damien was waiting for me by the door. We went outside and he went towards a pretty expensive looking black sports car. I got in the passenger seat and Damien started the car and started driving towards the school. As I was looking outside of the window, I said, "Isn't it bad for me to go to a vampire's school?" Damien kept his eyes on the road as he said, "Yes, but since you technically belong to me now, they can't bite you. If they do, it's considered a crime which is punishable by death. Speaking of which, put this on your collar." He handed me a heart shaped tag that you would put on a dog collar. On the tag, it read Rose Blackwell. As I put it on the collar around my neck I said, "Geez. I really am a vampire's pet. I even have my last name changed to yours." He smirked and said, "Be glad I'm not pulling you around on a leash." "If you ever put a leash on me, I'll seriously kick your ass." I said to him, and he chuckled. This was the first time I noticed how handsome Damien actually was. I blushed at the thought and quickly pushed it out of my mind. I couldn't get a crush on a vampire, especially in my situation. Damien pulled into a parking lot and parked the car. As I got out of the car, I looked at the giant school in amazement. It was just as beautiful as Xavier's home. Damien started walking towards the school gates and I ran after him and shouted his name to wait up. As I caught up to him, I noticed all the stares I'm getting from the other students. I grabbed his sleeve as we walked inside the school. Being surrounded by a thousand of vampires isn't that comforting. "Don't worry. They're just shocked that the King's son has a human now. I won't let them hurt you." Damien said to me. I nodded to him and felt more reassured. I realized I was close to him and I let go of his sleeve and separated from him a little bit. We walked to his locker and as he was getting a few books, I heard someone say, "So the rumors are true. Damien Blackwell got himself a human." A guy with blonde hair and green eyes walked up to us. "Well news travels fast when your related to the King." Damien said this, like he's experienced this 100 times before. "But they didn't say how beautiful she really was or how good her blood smells." The blonde guy says as he was looking at me with a smile. "Cut it out, Mark." Damien said to the guy. Just then, a bunch of girls surround us, well mostly Damien. They were all talking so animatedly that I could barely understand what they were saying. A few of them smiled at me and the rest either ignored me or look at like the same way Damien did the first time he met me. Mark stood next to me as I asked, "Does this always happen?" "Pretty much a daily occurrence for him. He usually tries to get to class quickly, but they always find him anyways." Mark said with a chuckle. I heard the locker shut besides me and felt a cool hand grab mine and started pulling me with him. Damien was pulling me down the school hallways, leaving behind the girls and Mark. I hurriedly caught up to Damien's pace as we walked into a class room. I sat next to him in class as the bell rang.-FF to lunch-I followed Damien into the lunch room & we sat down at a table. "Are you hungry?" Damien asked me. I simply shook my head and he nodded. When Mark sat down, Damien got up and went to the lunch line. Then these 3 girls sat across from me and Mark. One of them was blonde and she was giving me a death glare. "Don't think your so special just because you get to spend time with Damien." She sneered at me. I glared at her as I said, "I was kidnapped and sold to a vampire, so no I'm not special. I'm so special that I get to talk to the queen slut of this school right now though, aren't I?" Mark instantly laughed as I said that and the blonde girl looked beyond pissed off. "I'd watched myself if I were you, human." She said as she stood up. I stood up as well and said, "You should watch yourself too because I may be human, but I'm not afraid of you." I guess Damien saw the whole thing because he came over, which made the blonde girl smile and act like nothing happened, and Damien said, "Stacey, I suggest you and your friends find a new table to sit at. Oh, and if anything happens to Rose and I find out it was you or any of your friends; you'll regret it." The girl's smile instantly fell and she glared at me as her and her friends left. First day at vampire school, and I already have enemies.
