A Little Lie

Meeting James

I dropped my head to look at the ground muttering a quiet apology. I started to walk away when I felt a hand grab onto my wrist. It was the weirdest feeling that I got it was like a shiver and sparks mixed together. I couldn't explain the feeling it was so weird but amazing at the same time. I gasped as I felt a tug on my hand, turning to face the person I realised that it was the same guy that I bumped into earlier. As I looked up into his eyes it was like it was just us two.....I couldn't explain it. That's when I noticed a ring of silver around his green eyes.

I cleared my throat and quickly looked away. I felt so embarrassed he caught me starring. As I walked away I could have sworn that I heard him growl. As I walked to my locker I met up with my best friend called Cassandra but everyone calls her Cassie or Cass.

"Hey Cass"

"Hey Lilly" she said eyes sparkling with mischief

"What did you do this time?" I asked sort of scared.

The last time Cassie had that look in her eyes I found out that she had put 8 wash hair dye in my shampoo, I couldn't get the colour out for a week, and it was fluro pink.

"Oh nothing, I just saw you speaking to the hot new guy" she said with a smug smile on her face.

My face instantly went hot as I felt the blood rush to my cheeks.

"Shh be a little bit more quiet would you Cass, Jeez it's not like the whole school needs to know". I said in a quiet whisper.

"Ok, ok sorry" She said back in a much quieter voice this time.

BBBRRRIIINNNGGGGGGGGGG

"Well that's the bell I better get going to class or Mr Smith will give me a detention" I said with an annoyed groan

"Yeah, that man seriously needs to get a life instead of giving us a detention all the time" she stated sounding displeased.

"Ugh I know, anyway have a good lesson" I said as I walked away from her with a sigh

As I was walking away I felt as if there was something about to happen because I got a bad feeling about something but I just brushed it to the side. As I opened the door to the classroom I was hit with the boisterous noise of the kids already there. I walked in and tried not to flinch as someone yelled in my ear. I took a seat at the back of the class near the window were I always sat.

The reason why I always sat here was because you could see the forest that surrounded the school. I don't know why but the forest has always had a calming effect on me. It's just something about it that seams peaceful.

Just as I started to get lost in thought the teacher walked through the door.

"Good morning class, I hope that everyone is seated in a seat with their wor – oh it seems we have a new student in this class. Would you like to stand up and introduce yourself please?"

I didn't even notice that he had walked into the class and took a seat next to me.

"Hi I'm James, I just moved here from LA and I love to play sports." He introduced himself with a slight wave at the end.

Before anyone could start to say anything Mr Smith started the lesson.

The lesson went longer then I would have liked it to but anyway... its lunch time now and I'm walking through the halls listening to all the latest gossip going around. Most of it was just the usual stuff like who is dating who but something stood out. I heard a girl speaking to one of her friends saying "OMG did you see the new guy he is so hot." For some reason that made me mad, I don't know why because I just met the guy.

I stacked all my books back into my locker, grabbed my lunch and made my way to the cafeteria where I met up with Cass. Our school does have a canteen but I prefer to bring my own lunch because, let's face it I don't have an endless supply of money. I sat down next to Cassie at the table and began to eat my nutella sandwich. I know very healthy right ;P

"So what do you think of the new kid"

"If I'm honest I think he's really hot" I reply with a ghost of a blush covering my cheeks.

"Awwww, that's so cute" Cassie squealed

"But I know I don't have a chance with him, I mean, look at him he's hot and I'm just average"

"Awe hell na, Lilly your hot as hell with your big blue eyes and curvy figure. At least you're not a skinny twig like most bitches!" she told me {No offence to all of you that are skinny I'm just putting this in the book. Not directing it at anyone, promise!!!}

"Thanks Cass that makes me feel so much better" I say as I take my last bite of chocolaty goodness

I stand up to chuck away my rubbish and got to my locker because the bell was about to go. Geez, time does fly when you're having fun doesn't it!

We go past my locker so that I can collect my books and we were on our way to Lilly's when I bumped into someone.

"OMG I am so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going!" The mystery person said as they caught me just before I joined my books on the floor.

"That's ok I wasn't looking either" I said as I looked up to see the same guy that I was staring at this morning.

"eh hem" We both turn around as he lets go of my waist to look at Lilly, who is standing there with her hands on her hips and a smirk on her face.

"What?" I ask

"Oh nothing, nothing, you just seemed to be lost in your own little worlds. You were staring at each other for about 2 minutes straight and now we might be late for class!" Lilly said with an urgent look on her face.

Lilly doesn't like being late for any of her classes.

"Ok we better get going then. Sorry again for bumping into you. By the way I didn't catch your name...?"

"James, James Rain" He replied with a small lop-sided smile.

We both turned and went out separate ways but I couldn't get that name out of my head!
