In the dark streets

She was there again

Trapped by the chains

Desperately crying out in pain

Lonely

The knife cuts deep

The blood pours out

He holds the trigger

But does not shoot

The man with the gun.

Pale white face

Stained with blood

He says to her

It's for her own good

Beaten

Forced into this

She had no choice

Her family did this

Her future is lost to

The man with the temper.

The phone was ringing

He was out

The answer machine came on

Big. Happy. Voice.

Hi we are here

To help you

To show you support

After all you've been through

The voice with the promise.

He let the chains go

He walked out the door

Frozen, she waited

Then took her chance

FREEDOM

She ran down the street

Not seen for years

Told the right people

Heard by the right ears

The girl with the mistake?

She sits in the room

Shaking with fear

He is dragged passed her

He whispers in her ear

Threatened

This is not the end

Far from it now

They will come for you

You better watch out

The 'man' with the words.

The courtroom was silent

She tried to speak out

The terrible stories

The horrible scars

Reminded

His eyes were angry

As he went down

Her last living memory

She saw stepping down

The girl with the chance.

The dirt on the floor

The foul stench of hate

The inmates spat

They put up there hands

Consequence

The rest of his life

Spent in this place

See no one ever

Not her blooded face

The man in the cell.

On the floor she lay

Crying and shaking

Floor stained with her blood

Eyes slowly closing

Losing

Pulling the trigger

The room was silent

So breathing her

Last breath she died

The girl with the gun.
