"RAINA WAKE UP I HAVE IMPORTANT NEWS" I heard my dad scream at somewhere around 6:00 AM in the summer.
Let me introduce myself.

Hi I'm Min Ra-In. I'm half Korean half American. I've lived in LA for my entire life pretty much and my mom died when I was 5 due to a car accident.
I have a brother but I haven't seen him in forever since he went to Korea to become some Kpop superstar or whatever.

I got up and slowly walked downstairs to my dad.
"Yeah?" I asked while rubbing my eyes.
" We're moving to Korea!" He screamed with
excitement.

I felt my knees become weak.
"W-what?!" I said.
"YEAH Isn't it exciting we can see Yoongi!" My dad said. My dad loved my brother he would always keep up with my brothers band news. I never did that though sometimes I felt guilty but other times I wonder why he never called us or at least communicated with us... ever.

"HUH?!??" I screamed
"umm is this happiness or surprised or-?" My dad asked.
"I-um-I when are we leaving?" I said as calmly as possible. It worked obviously.
"Tomorrow night go pack the earlier we finish the earlier we can go" he said.
"O-o-okay" I quickly slightly bowed and headed up stairs and closed the door quickly trying to catch my breath.
Why did I bow? THIS IS AAAAAAAAAAAMERICAAAAA

We are going to Korea......... I'm going to see Yoongi... Will he be upset at us? Will he be the same?

It's okay just breath a new start is always good right? I took out my suitcase and dumped out all my clothes onto the floor from my dresser.

I ended up with 3 boxes and 1 suitcase full of clothes, the thing is I barely even wore a fourth of the clothes I have. I looked on my phone and it was 2:00 PM already. I didn't really have any friends here in LA, I was like that sad lonely kid at school that was made fun of.

I didn't mind. It's been like that most of my life considering that everyone left it. My dad was the only one there for me but he would always be at work and the majority the time I would only see him for 1-3 hours a day.

I started packing items around my room like pictures, books, and more books, and some other random stuff.
I looked under my bed to see if there was anything important down there and I saw a red box.
I reached my hand to grab it and struggled it took me about 10 minutes to get the box. I'm short and small.
It was like a plain red shoe box but I had no memories of this shoe box.

I opened up the top and inside were a bunch of pictures and other things. Memories. I picked up a picture it was a small me with another kid. There were a bunch of notes and drawings addressed to 2 names over and over. I don't remember this kid. Was he important?
Oh well, I quickly packed it and closed the box.

I pushed all the boxes out of my room because I'm a weakling.

I'm going to Korea. That kept playing over my mind. Korea is so different from the states though. My Korean is rubbish. I dress like a full fledged American. I eat like a full fledged American. It's kinda obvious that I'm American.

"Raina are you done already?" My dad came over and asked.
"Yea I guess...." I looked back in my room it looked so empty with just a bed and a dresser.
"Someone's eager to move!" My dad said. I could tell he was happy. But really my mind is freaking out.

We were finally in Korea. I was breathing Korean air....

My dad looked at me and smiled. I was happy that he was happy. We walked out of the airport and there were camera flashes and screaming fangirls. Probably like a boy band or something. We tried getting out so we could leave but people kept shoving us. It felt like they were playing a game of ping pong and I was the ball going back and fourth. I was almost to where the supposed "famous" people were. And they were trapped into a little circle too. Eventually I fell in front of them. Good job Rain you meet someone famous and you screw it up. I tried getting up but I kept getting stepped on. Korea is brutal.

Someone tapped my shoulder and I looked over it was someone from that group. Wait not just any person it was Yoongi.
We both looked surprised.

"Y-yoongi?"
"Rain!" He screamed.
He pulled me up and hugged me very tightly and then the camera flashes got louder and brighter.
"Okay let go now or else your gonna be involved in a scandal" I whispered
"Me? Date someone as ugly as you?" He said then ruffled my hair.
"YAH" I smacked his hand away.
"SUGA HURRY UP" I saw one of his friends scream.
"CALL ME OKAYY" he screamed while running away.

The photographers stared at me waiting to ask question and the fangirls were ready to attack me.
"Uh annyeonghaseyo" (uh hello) I said as I bowed.
"WHO IS HE TO YOU?"
"HOW DO YOU KNOW HIM?"
"ARE YOU HIS GIRLFRIEND?"
"WHAT DID THAT HUG MEAN??" it was a goddamn hug..

They started asking a bunch of questions to me in Korean
"A-aniyo (no) he's just my brother." I said as Korean as possible. I was totally not properly dressed to be on the cover of some Korean scandal magazine. I was wearing a hoodie and jeans with my hair side braided......... My first impression to Korea.

I started running towards my dad and grabbed his arm and ran. I hate camera flashes and I want to avoid raging fangirls trying to kill me.
WHERE ARE ALL THE TAXISSSSS

"Who's picking us up?!?" I asked my dad in panic.
"A co worker of mine he should be here by now" my dad said catching his breath.

"WELL WHERE IS HE?!?" I said. Honestly I just want to get to safety Korea is brutal.

"I'll call him but when he comes be polite and call him Mr. Kim he has a son you know he's cute and weird like you" my dad said smiling

"Okay be a match maker later hurry up and call him!" My dad always tried to set me up with a dude he wanted me to have a boyfriend but I never wanted one ever.

"Oh hey it's Hyunsik, yeah my daughter is apparently really excited to see our new house by any chance are you near?" I heard my dad say. On the other side of the phone I could hear murmurs that I couldn't identify. After that I just zoned out I'm starting High school soon. God dammit

"Raina!" I voice startled me I looked at the rode. Our ride was here. My dad was already in the car. I loaded my luggage into the back of the car and I was told to stay in the car while my dad and Mr. Kim got the boxes.

I decided to turn on music in the car hoping Mr.Kim wouldn't mind. And a sad song started playing.
Fall (everything)
Fall (everything)
Fall (everything)

It sounded like some Kpop boy group so Mr.Kim likes Kpop okay keep that in mind. I felt the car weigh down that probably meant the boxes were in the car.
I heard the trunk shut and my dad and his friend got into the car.

"Oh do you like Bangtan Boys, Rain?" Mr.Kim asked me. I was used to be calling Raina so this whole new name thing is gonna be hard to remember.
"Oh I actually don't know who they are Sir" I said back.

"Oh you don't? Also call me Hanuel" he said with a smile.
"Rain sweetie you don't know BTS? Your brother is in this group" my dad said with a surprised yet concerned face.
"Bwoh?" (What?) I said.
"Your son is in the group? Mine is too" Hanuel said.
Okay life doesn't make sense anymore. I'm done.
"Uh can we get going now I really want to explore South Korea!" I said lying I just wanted to leave the conversation about my brother alone.

We finally arrived at our place. We lived in the city in one of those skyscraper apartment buildings. I've always wanted to live in something like this but we don't have much in America.
I ran into the building quickly this time I was actually excited. I repeatedly pressed the UP button on the elevator.

"Don't break anything we just got here Rain" my dad said as he laughed. He was happy to be back in his hometown.

"What number??" I asked
"57" my dad said. We were on one of the top floors there were a only 60 floors and we got 57. Would that mean I would get a nice view of Seoul!!
I think moving to Korea was an interesting choice.
