Chapter nine

Ava

I've been pacing around the living room for a while now, as well as talking to myself; probably looking like a crazy person. But I mean is Brandon okay? Is Dex okay? Are they going to be together? Is this going to cause a turf war? We can't just let him go back to the disgusting disgrace of a human known as Samuel.

"Yo crazy stop pacing it's giving me a headache." Colten said while rubbing his temples.

"You have room to talk." Conner snapped.

I just kept pacing not paying attention to the twos bickering.

"Sis why are you pacing like a mad women?" Jake asked. Which made me stop for a second.

"I told you, but does anyone listen to me ever? I'll answer that for you, no they don't." Colten said.

"It's pretty hard to listen to a guy who catches pizza on fire, and just figured out that people say be there or be square because you're not around." Connor fired back causing many smiles.

"Sis I want an answer." Jake said plainly.

"I'm just worried about all this, but really I want Brandon to be okay. I mean are we looking at war? Is he okay? Is Dex okay? Are they a couple?"

"I'm okay thank you for all that you've don't Ava," a pale Brandon said.

Before I could stop myself I ran up to him and engulfed him in a hug. I felt his arms tighten around me to, and felt his shoulders shake and quiver. As the tears fell onto my back.

"I'm sorry this happened to you I wish it didn't." And despite my better judgement Im going to tell him what I know he needs to hear. " You're safe now we aren't going to let you go back to him, we won't let Sam hurt you anymore."

"But why?" He asked still crying.

"Because you're family, and family takes care of each other, and no one should have to go through what you did."

"Thank you." He whispered.

"There's no need to be doing that."

"Still thank you." He said the crying starting to die down a bit.

"If you don't mind I'd like to hug on my boyfriend a little too." Dex said.

Yay! They're dating they're dating!

"Woah woah wait wait. Hold up you're gay?" Colten asked shocked. I couldn't help but laugh at most of their shocked faces.

Axel came up to me, and kissed my cheek."Um did you know about this?" He asked.

"Not till today."

"Since when are you gay?" Colten asked still shocked.

"Guess you guys would like some sort of explanation huh?"

"Not really I mean it's been obvious," Connor stated not really paying attention.

"Wait you knew?" Dex asked almost perplexed.

"Of course I also have known that you fancy Brandon it's been quite obvious." You know Conner never ceases to amaze me?

"I mean the rest of us would like an explanation. Since we aren't all geniuses." Brooks said.

"It doesn't take a genius to figure simple stuff out, genius." Connor responded sarcastically.

"You're quite feisty today. Why don't we go take care of that?" Jake asked, nasty.

"Wait Jake did you know too?" Luke asked.

"Of course I did." He said before going up the steps with Connor.

"He knew but didn't tell me?" Axel asked.

"Guess not sorry babe."

"Nah it's alright I know now, and as long as Dex is happy, Brandon is safe, as well as you I'm happy." He said causing my heart to swell.

"Well you see I've always just not been attracted to girls, and I've always liked Brandon. And I had a hard time accepting myself so I didn't know how anyone else could accept me. Especially since I liked an opposing gang member. Eventually Jake and Connor came out to you guys and I knew I could, but I didn't have the boy I wanted to come out for by my side yet, and now now I do."
