The misty April winds blew Jessie's hair astray from its usual style. A day like this could only get better. Gray, looming clouds hung in the air, as if deciding whether or not to dump their watery contents on the people (and Pokemon) below. To the left and right of Jessie was forest. She walking along the path, swaying her arms back and forth, staring off into space. In her left hand was a photograph of James.
Although she saw him every day, she carried this with her. After the boss began giving them separate missions, she felt this was necessary. Jessie could admit it: James was cute. She liked him. But they were only Team Rocket partners; and anyway James had Jessebelle...right? Of course Jessie knew how to hide her feelings. And if James had any (which Jessie doubted), he was excellent at hiding them, besides his habit of linking arms with Jessie, and other unnecessary touching whenever he could do it. Jessie didn't suspect anything.
This day could probably get worse. Time was moving slow for Jessie. She was supposed to meet James at their base. It took forever to get there. On this particular day Jessie was miserable. These miserable feelings she got often caused her emotions to go haywire. As she did some deep thinking, her train of imagination carried her to thinking about what would happen if James loved her back.
Sometimes Jessie's thoughts were a bit...far off. She imagined a wedding, and then...no. Not that. Anything but that. If Jessie thought anything close to the truth, she would lose it. It was at this moment she felt the overwhelming urge to cry. And cry she did. She sat on the ground and cried. And as she did her mind wandered to the marriage thought again...and then that other thing...that other thing that would actually happen. "ああ、私の!" she cried out. It was really hard to believe that she would actually be having a baby. That was James's too. She erased the though from her mind and ran down the path, hoping she wasn't late.
"James! James I'm here!" she said when she caught sight of him and Meowth. James turned around and waved. Meowth smiled a little. "Sorry I'm late," she half-whispered, out of breath. James glanced up Jessie. She was out of uniform. So was James, but James saw more than that. What the heck, is he checking me out? she thought. When James noticed the confused, weirded-out (and amused) look on Jessie's face, he quickly glanced over at a patch of grass by the picnic table. Jessie quickly pretended to forget it happened and walked towards the building. "Come on guys, we'll have to get started!" James and Meowth followed Jessie, and together they entered the building.
