I was awaken by a punch to my stomach. I shoot up from my bed gasping for air. I looked beside me to find John with balled up fists. "Why did you do that for?" I tiredly said. "Come on you gotta get up we have school in a hour!" John said excitedly rushing out of my room. I never understood my younger brother. I rubbed my eyes and sat there for a minute.

I finally got of of bed and headed for the kitchen. My mom had bought some groceries. I grabbed some berries and had some orange juice. My brother was sitting at the table wolfing down a bunch of food. I was to nervous to eat. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach already.

I then got ready. I tried brushing my hair sleek but it just frizzed up. I sighed and put on my eyeliner. I didn't wear anything fancy just my usual black. I then pank an army printer backpack.

I walked into the living room where John and my mother waited. She handed us both lunch and told us where the bus stop was. "Now you too hurry off now" she smiled and hugged us both. Before I was out the door my mom said "and Candice."

I stopped and turned around. "Everything will be ok" my mom finished and smiled. I smiled back and walked out the door. For a moment I breathed in the fresh warm air and followed after my brother. When we finally got the the bus stop there was only one other kid there.

He had short brown hair, blue eyes, wore prepy clothes and had a dickish Hollywood face.

Now John is more of a prep too and only talked to kids like that. Before I knew it the the boy and my brother were right at it. I sighed and waited for the bus. When it finally came John and the boy entered first with no problem but when I stepped into the aisle I could feel all eyes on me.

No one would let me sit with them so I headed to the back. I sat next to a hooded boy staring out the window. His navy blue hoodie was a tatted and dirty and his bag was brown and old. He didn't even realize my presence. "So much for being accepted" I thought to myself.

At school it wasn't any better. Insults were thrown at me all day. It finally became lunch and I sat in the courtyard alone watching everyone. I was soon disturbed by these girls walking up to me. The one who seemed to be the leader had long wavy dirty blonde hair and the whole bitch thing going on. "Hi my name is Carrie" she said insencirly holding out her hand. I just stood up and started to walk away. "Where do you think your going bitch?" She asks fericly. "Over to him" I said pointing to the navy blue hoodie boy. One of the other bitch girls gasped and yelled out "the vampire is going to sit next to Hewitt!"

Everyone stopped what they were doing and watched me. I approached the boy who was intently wringing something in a notebook. "Oh no not retard!" Some kid shouted out. Finally the boy stopped and just looked down for a moment. Then he finally looked at me and I saw his face clearly.
