Stella's PVO
Monday 7:12 a.m.Ending the facetime call with Noah I took my laptop from my desk sliding it into my bag. I swung the colorful messenger bag over my head and took the rest of my bagel off of the white paper plate. Brushing some of the extra seeds onto the plate and counter, I took the last bite of it into my mouth.
Readjusting the thick strap into a more comfortable position on my left shoulder, I reached around my dark coffee mug for my Physics assignment.
I underestimated the size of my forearm and ended up knocking the cup over. Cursing I swung my notebook around like a mad woman warding off evil spirits. The scolding coffee made its way off of the marble countertop. Not even cooling slightly as it made its way through the air, the coffee burned the top of my foot causing my note book to go flying as I hopped around the kitchen clutching my right foot.
Pulling my leg into the sink I turned the water on full blast letting the ice cold spray cool down the reddening skin. I took a deep breath looking over at the mess I made. Whimpering a little as I placed my foot back on the cool, dark wood that lined the kitchen floors.
I slowly made my way over to my stained notebook picking it up by the silver spiral. Giving the dyed homework assignment one last swipe for good measure, I closed up the notebook adding it into my bag. Grabbing the role of paper towels I began to wipe up my mess. The paper plate had already absorb its fare share of the dark roasted coffee.
Putting the coffee mug into the dish washer I started a new cycle before opening the door to the garage.
The strong smell of rain from the night before and the humidity of today rushed into the cool house. Grabbing my vans from the grey cement steps, I sat down sliding my feet into the shoes. Standing back up I locked the door behind me after a strong few tugs to get it closed. Pressing the garage door button a dull light began to seep through into the musty room.
Taking my skate board from the inside wall I made my way down the driveway and onto the sidewalk. Dropping my skate board i tied the ends of my flannel around the waistline of my shorts. Putting my right foot on the center of the board I began my way to school.
