"Let's make a deal.''
A frown came upon my face looking at the boy, who seemed to have no flaws, in front of me. He eyes stared deeply into mine as my eyes darted back and forth from his hazel ones to the scenery outside that suddenly became interesting. What the hell is talking about making a deal?
"In your dreams playboy. Why are you here?" I said as I leaned against the door frame of my front door. Never in my entire life had he ever tried to talk to me and vise versa; here he is on my doorstep.
"To see you, beautiful." He responded. I rolled my eyes and left the door and I could feel his presence following behind me. I stop in mid walk and turned around to stop him.
"And who said you can come in?" I eyeballed him.
"Well, you pretty much gave me the right away. Plus, we all know you want this." Everett said looking himself up and down with a grin. I have to admit his smile was picture perfect and any girl would have fallen for it but I wasn't any girl.
"You don't even know me. Get out." I started to shove him out but it didn't help any considering this guy weighed 200 more pounds than me. He started to laugh which made me stop and glare at him.
I gave him a second to stop laughing but it seemed to keep going. Has he gone mad?
"What are you laughing at !?" I huffed.
"I'm sorry. You're just cute when you think you can actually remove me out of your house by shoving me out," He wiped fake tears from his eyes. I just stared at him with a death glare.
"And you're wrong about me not knowing you." He smirked. Shifting my weight to one side and putting my hands on my hips. I wasn't really up to hear what he had to say but I was curious as to what people have been saying behind my back. I mean it's nothing new but it doesn't hurt to learn a few new things about myself.
"So, what exactly did you hear about me, because I heard things about you, too." I challenged.
Everett circles me like he's a hawk and I'm his prey. I watch him as he does this a few more times and then roll my eyes. He completely ignored what I said about him.
"Are you going to keep circling me or are you going to tell me something new about myself?"
He stops and smirks, "Anxious to know, huh?"
"Not really, people want to know about me so bad so they make up rumors. I could care less so I let them talk." I shrugged, I had enough of this. I walk back to the front door and gesture for him to get out. Surprisingly, he trudges his way over but comes to a halt.
"It's not like everyday rumors but things like who you really are. Things that can ruin your life. Trust me sweat heart, I know everything." Everett's fingers glide its way down my jaw as I stare at him intently. His hazel eyes don't leave mine own light grey ones. I wish I could smack that grin off his face.
"You guys can think what you want." I snap but in whisper.
"I'll have you figured out. If you change your mind, I'm only a call away babe." With that being said I watch him leave and speed off in his ranger rover but not before giving a piece of paper with his number on it.
Why does everyone feel that they need to know me? Why can't people just stay in their own business? Why? Why? Why?
I am determined to keep my past buried and I will sacrifice anything, including my happiness, to keep it buried. If people found out who I was they would think I'm a monster.
