It's Over

Owen's Pov
I watch as Zach and Grey run to their mother and father. I see the relief in their eyes as they hug one another. Claire's sister runs up and gives her a hug. I feel happy knowing all of this is possible because of me and my raptors. I feel lonely and happy all at the same time because i do not have anyone to rejoice with.
I hear a female voice say "who's this?" This snaps me back to reality. As I hear Grey respond " that's aunt Claire's boyfriend." What did I hear correctly? Did Grey just say I was Claire's boyfriend? Why would he think that? Does he know how I feel about.... My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Claire's voice " this is Owen Grady, we work together." I noticed Claire looked down after she said that. "If people just walk around kissing their coworkers like that I'd be happy to get a job earlier" said Zach. We nearly died and all their doing is teasing Claire and I.
"We've only had one date," Claire and I say simultaneously. This must be embarrassing for Claire this is her family teasing her and she's near her thirties.
"May I ask why there was only one date," asks Karen. I chuckle softly to myself. As Claire blushes for the fourth time.
I'm the first one to answer this question, " we never had a second because the first date didn't go good."
"Why didn't it go good," asks Karen. I have so many reasons I'm thinking in my head for one thing it's to professional.
"My first reason is she was dressed to professional." Claire grunts at soon as I say that. "My third reason was because she brought a planner with her. " "Plus she wouldn't drink tequila because she's on a diet. What diet doesn't allow tequila?" Claire snorted this time.
