The door to the Hokage's office burst open, an enraged purple haired woman bursting into the room, her voice raw and tone harsh as she yelled upon entering.

"Where the hell is Usagi?!"

Tsunade was shocked to see who had interrupted her conversation with Shikamaru.

It was Anko Mitarashi.

She stormed up to Tsunade, grabbing the edge of her top and pulling her off her chair.

"What happened to her?" Anko asked, her voice dangerously low.

"Calm down." Tsunade said. "The intel team is filing through her memories to clarify what happened."

Anko let go of Tsunade, but her anger did not subside. "How am I meant to calm down?! Usagi was fucking arrested!"

"Detained," Shikamaru corrected. "She hasn't been arrested yet."

"Detained, arrested, it doesn't matter, she's fucked either way." She spoke bitterly, a sense or harsh truthfulness dripping from each and every word. "Danzo fucking hates her, he's doing this on purpose."

Tsunade sighed. She couldn't deny either of those things. "On purpose or not, this isn't the first time she's been wanted for questioning. For now, things are going to play out in Danzo's favour, but if we just go with it and don't make a scene, we have a higher chance of helping Usagi sooner."

"..." Anko calmed down after that, a little embarrassed by her outburst. "What do we do now then?" She asker, her head a little more clear now.

"Nothing." It was Shikamaru who answered. "There isn't anything we can do."

"So Usagi's going to jail? Just like that? You're not even going try?"

"I can't do anything, Anko-" Tsunade started speaking.

"Don't give me that bullshit! You're the Hokage, of course you can do something!!"

"They are the elders!!" Tsunade yelled back. "I can't do shit, ok?! Usagi is my cousin, I want to help her, but I can't right now! I don't feel any better about the situation than you do."

"Yeah right." And with that, Anko left the room.

"..." Shikamaru and Tsunade were silent.

They just hoped Anko wouldn't do anything reckless.

"Walk faster."

Usagi was pushed forward by one of the ANBU walking behind her though a dull stone hall. She stumbled, almost falling over from the rough shove.

'It's my own fault...' Usagi thought to herself as she walked alongside the ninja. 'I've made so many poor choices, done so many heartless things... This is karma, I suppose.'

A cell door was opened and Usagi's restraints were removed.

"Raise your arms." One ANBU instructed.

Usagi did so, a large frown on her face as he patted along the sides of her body.

He noticed there was something tucked into her obi. "Arms down, remove your obi."

Usagi's expression grew unsure now, her rinnegan eyes almost silently pleading with the ANBU.

Being a root member, he was unaffected by her stare. "Take it off."
