My true name is...Burning Fighting Fighter. I submit to my destiny of fighting the Wyvern. In my previous life, my name was...Foxy Fairfax. I'm a dragon knight who uses an alias to disguise himself.
Well, as if that were all true.
"Foxy...Fairfax..." I mumbled in my sleep and started to roll over not realizing I'm half asleep and laying in the couch. "Ouch!" I winced in pain as I opened my eyes and viewed reality. My elbow hit the desk beside the couch where I was sleeping.
"Foxy? You there?" I heard Chica calling out for me outside the house. And there she was, standing in front of the glass window outside my house. "Oh! There you are," she said as soon as she saw me. I quickly stood.
"I heard a loud bang. Are you okay?" Chica asked me in bewilderment.
My true name is...Burning Fighting Fighter.
"It's nothing!" I said as I heard a voice in my head and remembered everything about my stupid dream.
She looked at me but decided to change the subject. "Hey, what are you having for dinner tonight?" she asked.
"Um..." I said to myself and suddenly realized that nothing was in the fridge. Chica read my expression and decided we should go shopping.
"I'm not taking you with me," I told her.
"Awww...Stingy. I won't ask for junk food!" she told me. I sighed.
"Fine. Get ready in fifteen minutes," I told her and after fifteen minutes, off we went to the grocery store.
"I bet you fell asleep in the living room while you were studying again," she told me as we walked.
"I can't stay focused if I'm in my room all the time," I told her.
When we arrived in the grocery store, Chica bombard me with questions. "You've changed Foxy. All you do is study every day. You had high grades, too, so why don't you take a break for a while?"
"You know that's not my primary goal," I told her and after buying goods, we left and head for my house.
Chica and I ate together. It was normal for us to do this since we known each other since elementary school and I've been alone most of the time. I only had Aunt Mary to take care of me, but she's always been away for work.
"Hey, there's a girl named Mangle Wolfe in your class isn't there? I think she just came back from overseas," Chica told me.
"Yeah, I guess there is," I answered without a care as I read a book.
"That girl's pretty cool. She's like a princess or something. She got yellow eyes and white hair. She's really popular isn't she? Guys tell her they like her all the time," Chica still keeps on talking.
"Yeah, yeah."
"It must be nice being popular," Chica told me.
"Yeah."
"You aren't interested?" she asked me.
"Hm? Mangle, huh? Where did she rank in midterms?" I asked her.
"Huh?"
"You asked if I'm interested," I told her.
"Huh?" she was still confused but she decided to change the subject again. "I'm going to become a babe who gets all the dudes this summer," she whispered to myself. I rolled my eyes. Tss...childish.
Morning came. It was my first day in high school.
"STUDYING comes first. LOVE is unnecessary and dangerous. BE CAREFUL not to let people think you're gay," I recited my daily oath.
