Eyes Open

"HAZEL! COME DOWNSTAIRS I'M LEAVING IN 5!!" Grace yelled .

"DON'T RUSH ME ! I'M FINISHING MY HAIR!" I yelled back.

I hate that my twin sister is older than me by 2 minutes. She thinks she is the boss of me .

Everything always has to be her way or no way. Of course I look up to my sister and love her but

I get so annoyed with her. Everything she does is always better than what I do.

I put my backpack on and ran down the stairs. I walked to the kitchen and gave my mom a kiss

on the cheek.

"Have a good day sweetie , don't forget breakfast " Mom said .

"No time for that mom, Grace is waiting on me" I explained.

"At least take some toast honey, Open your mouth" she said as she picked up the toast from the toaster and shoved it in my mouth.

"THANK YOU!" I mumbled as I ran out the door jumping into Grace's car.

"Took you long enough" Grace said annoyed

I looked out the window , Daydreaming . Thinking of what it would be like if I lost my sister?

Would I be happy that I have no one to boss me around anymore or devastated that I didn't have

my other half . I looked over at her . She was smiling . Wind blowing her hair back and listening

to Eyes Open by Taylor Swift I turned up the radio and we began to sing together .

We both sang as we pulled into the school. We both laughed and I thought to myself.

"That's a memorable moment, I'll never forget with my sister."
