Chapter 1
" You should definitely dye it blue this time." Ciara said to me , before stuffing her mouth with salad.
" I'm down with that. Will you come with me to buy it after school?" I asked.
" Of course. Can I invite Hailey."
" Well , duh."
She nodded , and went to go throw away her trash. I looked over to see Harmony , staring at me with disgust. She was 2 tables away.
" My hair has been purple for the last 2 months , honey. You still shouldn't be surprised.She rolled her eyes at me. I smirked , knowing that I made someone mad today. Ciara plopped back down in her seat.
"Hey." Hailey greeted , sitting back down in front of her food.
" Hey baby. " Ciara smiled , kissing her cheek. We were all best friends before they got together. Now , it's a couple , plus a friend.
" You should really get a boyfriend." Hailey told me .
" Nah. I'm fine being single."
" Oh , come on! You don't like anybody?"
" Nope."
She shrugged her shoulders , and took a bite of her burger. Ciara was staring at her secretly.
" Um , Chris , Harmony is staring at the back of your head. " Hailey said , while munching on her burger.
" Oh my god , again?"
" She's coming over here." Ciara whispered. When I felt her presence behind me , I stood up , and turned around. But apple juice was poured all over me.
" Oops , sorry." She giggled. I rolled my eyes.
" Well , I'm not."
" Excuse - " I punched her. She yelped , and fell to the ground.
Everyone was crowded around us. She got up quickly , and swung. I ducked down , and punched her in the stomach.
" Ow!" She screamed. I pushed her to the ground , and got a few punches in , before being pulled off of her. By one of the teachers.
" Stop it right now!" One of the teachers screamed. Harmony was still trying to get to me. The other teacher grabbed her.
" Go to the principals office now!" They commanded . Hailey and Ciara walked out the other way , and caught up to me. I had a scratch on my arm. Nothing serious.
" That was awesome!" Hailey laughed. Ciara nodded. " But you do know you are going to get suspended , right?"
" Yeah , but I really don't care." I admitted.
I was at the door to the principals office , and hugged Ciara and Hailey.
When I walked in , he looked up at me.
" Ms . Carrio. What are you doing in here again?"
The principal really doesn't like me. I've been in here multiple times since freshman year.
" I got in a fight with Harmony." I snapped.
" You are always getting in a fight. Do you know that goes on your record? It's almost the end of the year , and you are still not taking any work seriously. "
" There is a month left! That is still a lot of time." I said annoyed.
" You know what , I'm sure your parents will lecture you. You are suspended for 1 week. No but's ."
" I'm fine with that! And don't worry , I wasn't going to say anything that started with 'but' . I was hoping to get suspended longer. " I growled , and walked out , slamming the door.
Harmony stood there , tears in her eyes.
" Oh stop the tears . He will know you are faking it." I said , then started walking towards the entrance of the school. I didn't care if my suspension started tomorrow. I decided it's starting right now.
