A/N: Well its been a long time since I've updated. I highly apologize but high school is busy and stressful. Anyway, here it is and I hope you comment on it!!!
Working as double agents came as an easy job for the kids. Fodea was not one ounce suspicous, and truly believed the kids were helping him achieve world domination. The Spanish air was thick and humid. The gang had been there for about six months now and had gotten all of the information that they could've. The army had reached a calculated ten thousand and counting. The amount of magic possessing human beings on the Earth, appeared to be great.
The daily update with Nora had reached and the time to divulge secrets had come. They were instructed to meet her at a old Spanish church that had been abandoned for years. Nora had, her own "secret agents" communicating with the kids at all time. It was like something out of a James
Bond movie, jam-packed with action, decite and espionage. No paper trial, no evidence and no unwanted emotions. This was how things had been for the past six months and the kids were getting terribly used to it. Being magical, modern verisons of 007 was an enticing oasis to live in.
The hot, humid Thursday sky was turning crimson and maroon as the sun set. Fodea had given the kids a day to themselves. Even evil, dictators have some form of a heart or he was just annoyed by six teenagers. The kids walked up the broken, cracked steps and saw Nora slaving away at what seemed to be an old, dusty cauldron. Her gray hair tucked away in a semi- messy bun and her clothes stained.
" Nora, you remind me of our old science teacher" Felix concluded. The teens then had an epiphany. Their first year of high school had begun and they were missing it. Freshman year is supposed to be a milestone but, the gang was not able to experience it. They took a quick moment to remincse and wonder what if. " What's brewing Nora?" Jaya asked to break the obvious slience.
" I'm trying to conjure your ancestors up again. But I'm having some technical difficulties." Nora replied, while wiping her brow. She feverishly went back to stiring and chanting. Grey smoke filled the cauldron and morphed into a cloud. Within, two seconds it loudly collasped.
"Ugh... back to work." Nora sighed, cutting more herbs and measuring more liquids. "What happened?" Shreya inquired.
"It didn't work and I need it to." Nora said busy whisking away. "But I thought last time you just thought about them and they appeared?" Adam said, confused.
"I was only conjuring their ghosts for a brief period. I need them here for awhile now and that will take a summoning the dead potion. I seem to be missing something though because this is the fourth time I've atempted it." Nora responded.
"Maybe an ingrident is missing. Or some substance." Vela stated, accidently pricking her finger on a knife. A microscopic drop of blood fell into the cauldron and it smoked red.
"Your a genius kid!! Blood of the descendants is the key." Nora exclaimed. "Fingers out all around." She said.
One by one the kids pricked their finger over the pot and the potion was ready. Nora said that it just needed a few days to sink in and the plan was good to go. The teens were eager and nervous to meet their ancestors. A kalediscope of emotions went through their mind and they felt a little weaker than normal. They decided to call it aday, after recieving instructions. They wished Nora good luck and walked back through the pathway to Fodea's black, grim mansion in the country's capital. With the potion complete and the strongest witches and wizards on their way the mission was close to being accomplished. But the kids had gone from feeling like James Bond to Mission: Impossible, in a days notice.
When they arrived back they all went to bed except for Felix, who went to Fodeas private room. The henchman let him in and he found Fodea pensivley thinking and strategizing. "What do you want?" Fodea inquried. "I have some information that will be useful to you." Felix said.
"Well, go then......" Fodea asked impatiently.
"Nora's alive and planning something big." Felix blurted out, with a mischevous grin on his face. Fodea froze in place for awhile but seemed pleased with the revaltion. "Thank you, Felix this little bump in the road will be smoothened out." He said letting Felix go back to his room.
" This battle will be done for good soon." Fodea remarked to his henchmen, as the night sky blackened.
