Esther found the shelf she was looking for, Gi Gr Gri.. oh here it is. Standing on her tippy toes she grabbed the book off the library shelf. Dusting off the cover Esther read The Hidden Fairytales by The Brothers Grimm, she spotted a chair tucked into a corner and sunk onto it.
Chapter 1
The Goose Girl ran from whatever was chasing after her, her breath became shorter and her strides became slower before she stopped all together. Esther turn to face the vile beast, it wasn't what she expected it was a book laying on the ground. After being chased by loud and threatening noises Esther laughed and went to pick up the book. Touching the book her vision went fussy and she blacked out. Waking up in a room that wasn't hers frightened her, she slowly got up and went to another room. "Esther it's about time you woke up." A man said.
Esther closed the book and stood up all she could here was the man saying that it's about time you woke up. Walking out of the library Esther tripped and fainted.
"Esther wake up." A sing song voice called. Slowly Esther open her eyes to see a girl sitting on the side of the bed. "Who are you?" Esther asked.
"I'm Alice Wonder." Alice replied.
"Where am I?" Esther asked looking around at a very unfamiliar room.
"Your in the Enchanted Forest, Goose Girl."
"I'm not a goose girl and is this a joke?" Esther asked.
You are in the Enchanted Forest. We are in your old cottage by goose lake where you used to be with all your geese." Alice said frustrated. "The book you were reading called The Hidden Fairytales took almost all the people from here and transported them to the human realms. Like Snowwhite and Peter pan, and Wendy Darling, all the fairytales you know aren't the same here like the story, Alice in Wonderland is my story. The Mad Hatter is my father and Wonderland is a portal away. I know that this must be confusing for you but that book can transport people to and fro between realms. That's how the Brothers Grimm were able to record our stories for the humans to read." Alice said earnsty.
"Really?" Esther asked amazed.
"Yes, maybe you'll remember if we go see your geese."
"Okay."
Alice helped Esther out of bed and into a dress that looked like Alice's. Walking towards the door Esther and Alice wandered to the lake looking for the geese, they were swimming in the lake. "Esther make a honking sound I know you remember that." Alice smiled.
"Honk honk."
The geese ran over to Esther, She bent down to pet them when all her memories came rushing back, knocking Esther down.
"Esther are you okay?" Alice asked concerned.
"I'm fine Alice I remember, you were right about my geese. Will you help me find the others?" Esther asked happily.
"Of course." Alice said jumping up and down, smiling. They walked up a path to the goose house with all the geese following them. Esther walked into the goose house and grabbed two cups that she filled up with grain, taking the cups outside she sprinkled the grain all around. "I've got to go will you be alright without me tonight?" Alice asked.
"Go ahead I'll be fine." Esther replied.
"Goodbye." Alice called while walking down the path.
"Goodbye." Esther called back. Bring the cups back inside she set them down on a small table before checking the goose pen in the corner. She opened the gate into the pen and walked to the goose sized door in the back and opened before she returned to the outside of the pen, and latched the gate.#=#=#=#=#=#=#
