Once, there was a Flamingo. The flamingo had everything, a mansion...money, but there was one thing the flamingo didn't have, one thing he wanted very badly, The flamingo wanted the Snow Leopard. But every time he tried getting close, the Leopard would try to kill him. The flamingo was very sad about this, at first, but then he was very angry about it... so he planned. He went out into the forest and gathered a female bird, an armadillo and a poisonous gas frog. The flamingo called them his family, and let them live with him.

One day, the bird ran into the snow leopard. The snow leopard had heard she was with the flamingo so he told her "The flamingo is evil...you will soon regret your decision." The bird only laughed at the leopard, saying "You speak nonsense! He has shown me nothing but a warm house and food to eat. You will be the one too regret it." The leopard didn't reply and the bird left, not saying a word too anyone.

The next day the armadillo was out gathering berries, and he too, ran into the snow leopard. The snow leopard again, told him "The flamingo is evil...you will soon regret your decision." The armadillo took this differently than the bird, and growled at the snow leopard, instigating a fight between the two. The snow leopard defended himself but the armadillos shell was too hard and broke off one of the leopards fangs, the leopard, fled from the sight and the armadillo took the fang back to the flamingo, proudly exclaiming he had defeated the leopard holding up the fang for them all to see. The flamingo praised and rewarded him by making him his heir to the mansion and all of his money, if death came upon him.

The third day, the poisonous frog was hopping in the forest, across a stream, running into the fangless leopard. The leopard told the frog the same thing as he had told the last two, "The flamingo is evil...you will soon regret your decision." The toad reacted differently as well, he quivered in fear and believed the snow leopard, but soon came too his senses and defended his leader. "The flamingo has done nothing to show he is evil, he has provided us with food and a roof, why should I regret this decision?" The frog asked the leopard. The leopard shook his head and decided too leave. When the frog didn't return that day the flamingo sent out the bird too find him. She too, never returned.

The next day the flamingo sent out the armadillo too find the both of them. The armadillo came across the heartless bodies of the two and ran back too the flamingo, telling him everything. The flamingo was angry, for he knew it had too be the snow leopard. The flamingo said he would be leaving for a while, a 'vacation' if you will, and left the mansion too the armadillo.

He found the snow leopard, drinking from a small stream and approached the leopard, this time, the leopard stood still and didn't try too kill him. The flamingo inched closer and the snow leopard looked at the flamingo with wide eyes. He told the flamingo "The eyes of the forest have seen things they do not agree with...they tell me your time will come." The flamingo scoffed and laughed maniacally replying "Ha! The forest has no eyes! The forest is nothing but dead trees and inanimate rocks, grass, and water! Nothing will happen...I'm sure." And with that, the flamingo left the snow leopard, returning to his mansion, only to find it empty. The armadillo was gone, nowhere to be seen.

The next day the flamingo decided he would give the snow leopard a small visit. Only on his way out the door, he had found the head of his armadillo at his doorstep. With a new found rage he fled the mansion and trampled through the forest. "Where are you leopard?! I know you have killed them! Killed them all!" He howled. He turned around and spotted the snow leopard standing behind him. There wasn't a trace of blood on his jaws. The snow leopard tilted his head to the side and told the flamingo "You think it was I who killed your family, take a look at your reflection in that stream and then tell me the same." The flamingo had too smile proudly and he marched too the stream with his head held high, but his proud and smug look soon turned too a horrified looks as he looked at his reflection in the stream. Crimson covered his once pink feathers, it was as though he had been dyed in red. He gaped, horrified, and his vision became black. He realized he could no longer see and he panicked. Suddenly, he heard a voice whisper and breath on his ear, it told him "I told you didn't I?... You have been blinded by the forest and now you will pay, for killing your family in your sleep and blaming it on an innocent snow leopard," The flamingo felt teeth at his neck, only...he noticed there was a missing tooth, and he soon found himself in a world of serious pain...then nothing but darkness and peace.

The leopard returned to the tree he always slept on in the forest and looked down below him too see a frog hopping across the rocks of the stream, and an armadillo sleeping in the crevice of a rock. He looked up and saw a female bird nestled into a nest, fast asleep. The leopard let a dark laugh escape his throat and soon, he too, fell into a deep sleep.
