Nat's P.O.V

I woke up the next day and stretched under the covers. I yawned and flopped uselessly onto the pillows again sighing. It was exhausting waking up in the morning. I shrugged and got up. Shaking my hair loosly and then scratching my head.

I unwillingly marched down the hard-wood stairs into the kitchen to find an empty kitchen. A pot of coffee was sitting, burning on the counter. The smell of coffee filled the air. I sighed, filling my lungs with air as I yelled "OLIVIA!! YOUR COFEE'S BURNING!!" her muffled voice replied from upstairs. "COFFEE? WHAT COF- OH MY GOD THE COFFEE!!" Then I heard her feet thumping down the stairs. "Olivia?" asked my dad warningly. "Is my coffee okay? Are you sure you can handle making it for me?" he asked. Olivia rushed into the room, a frantic look burning in her eyes. "Of course Dad!" Then she grabbed the pot out from under the maker and started puring it into a coffee cup. "Are you sure?" he asked. Olivia rushed quicker, accidently spilling the hot, burnt coffee all over the counter and her hand which made her fling her hand back and send a lone white plate sitting on the counter crashing to the floor. The plate shattered and Olivia yelped. "Liv? Sweethea-" he was cut offf by Olivia. "IT'S ALL UNDER CONTROL DAD!" screamed Olivia.  She started to run out of the kitchen with the coffee cup in hand. "Morning Liv." I said in my sweet voice. She scowled. "Hush up." she muttered. I chuckled.

I sat down in the chair that was closest to me and layed my head down on the golden-brown wood table. I felt someone enter the room and kiss me on the head. "Morning Honey." mom siad sweetly. I mumbled something along the lines as 'yeah good mornin' but I don't think she got my message. "Aw. Someone still sleepy?" she cooed. I lifted my head up and rubbed my eyes. I nodded. "I'll get your cereal for you." she cooed. I loved my mom.

I ate my cereal in a loving silence for about two seconds before Liv walked in and mom turned to look at her. "Why is that plate broken?" she asked sternly. Liv looked down to the floor and rubbed her arm. Then she snapped into her famous excuse look moving her hands to follow her words, like a sailor describing a tale of the seven seas. "You should have seen it mom! A wind broke through the window and sent the plate crashing down! I screamed and tried to catch but failed epically. And then I was the hero of dad's coffee! It might have spilled as well." she expained. "It did spill.." I muttered under my breath and onto the spoon heading towards my mouth which made the milk inches away from my face slowly vibrate. "Shut up." she muttered. Mom looked at her with raised eyebrows.  "OK! I knocked it over trying to get dad's coffee for him. But hey! I got a buck for it!" She tried to brighten the mood. I chuckled.

Mom sighed. "Just pick it up Liv." she said and Liv nodded and started picking up the broken dish.

I pulled out the paper and started grazing the classifieds. All of the jobs that I saw seemed pretty borning and didn't pay a lot of money. I took another spoon full of my cereal and almost choked on it as my gaze fell upon a waitressing job at a coffe shop. "10 bucks an hour!?" I yelled and mom turned around. Liv just looked up adnn shrugged. I continued reading the add as mom turned around.

The number was below the company name. Jimmy's Java. Creative. I sprung from the table and ran up to my room, completly awake now.

I dialed the number on my cell and was welcomed by a friendly voice. "Hello?" a deep voice answered. "H! Are you still hiring?" I asked. "Yes we are." he said. "I'm willing to do the job!" I said enthusiasticly. The man chuckled. "Do you have any previous experience?" he asked. "Well I used to waite tables at a White Spot in my old town." I answered him. "White Spot huh? That's a pretty big chain, and a pretty popular restaurant. Why don't you come down to the shop at about 2:30 on Saturday and we'll see how you work out." he asked. "How old are you?" he continued. "Sixteen." i answered. "Ok. Do you have the address?" he asked and i looked down at the paper in my hand. The address was neatly printed at the bottom of the small box. "Yes. It's here. Thanks!" I said. "No problem. See you soon." Then he hung up. I sighed with a smile on my face. I HAD A JOB!
