As I tossed in my final duffle bag, my mom looked at my brother Calum, and I with a meekly sprite.

"Guys are you sure you want to do this? Cause you can turn back now."

My mom spoke up, with concern filling her voice slowly.

"Mom will be just fine, we're going to call you so you be lonely and depressed."

"And it's just a two hour drive to California, so if anything bad happens dad you can drive over."

Hell. This woman thinks we're twelve years old staying home alone.

Having a twin was easy in my opinion. We're not a slave to each other. We have common interests. Video games, music, and style.

Our mom was very strict about our style. She said "you guys should go punk rock". She was our stylist. She knew we were punk, so she bought us skinny jeans, flannels, jackets, band shirts, and shoes.

"Alexandra you have everything?"

Calum asked, shoving the last box in the trunk. The car rattled violently as he placed the last box. The highlander was packed with boxes in every inch of the trunk, with some boxes in the back seat.

Our mom stood beside the car.

"Are you sure you going to be okay?"

She reassured.

"Yes mom, Alexandra is going to be managing the money for us."

"If you ever need any money or financial help just call me."

"This sounds like if I just bought the car" I chuckled, joking to myself.

"We have each other and Ashton,Michael, and Luke." I stated in a meekly manner.

"Would you ever visit?"

"Yes mom, we'll visit for Christmas any other holidays on the list." Calum sighed.

"Our plan for right now is where going to meet with Luke. The boys cars are parked at his house with their stuff, in the trunk. We're going to Cosco to pick up food. Then we'll drive to California. Okay?" I stated

"Yes, Alexandra I can't believe you're growing up."

"Mom!" Calum snapped.

"We're out"

I yelled, tossing my set of keys in the air.

Calum and I were ready to escape this hell hole. The town was very burtal. Fights broke out by the bodega, car windows smashed, and gun shots fired. Not an ideal town to live.

Hopping into the car, and promptly starting the engine. I shut the door. I'm eager to leave this town.

Mom walked toward the window which of course, I rolled downed.

"You two kids be safe"  She restated.

She planted a kiss on my forehead same towards Calum. We hugged one last time and held her embrace. Calum did a double-check to see if we had our bags.
