sometimes you don't know what's going to happen. You can't stop the inevitable. Like the feeling you get when someone special is near. The way your heart skips a beat then starts to thump hard in your chest, as if you just finished a marathon.

Just one glance is all it took to put all his senses into overdrive. Just one glance made him nervous, made him happy, scared, and attracted nonetheless.

Speaking to her would make him feel faint, and looking into her eyes seeing the sparkle in them was enough to make him want to lock her up and keep her with him forever. But in a good way. He wasn't crazy, he was just crazy about her.

"stay" it wasn't a command more like a plea.

"why?" was all she would ask.

"Because I can hardly function when you leave."

"Is this a confession? "

"Its the truth"

Somehow it worked. He got her to stay. So far shes stayed a whole 2 months.

Grabbing her hand and giving a slight pull he looks her in the eyes. She tilts her head confused "what is it?"

"I want to give you something"

"Give me what?"

Pulling out a ruby ring with small diamonds incircleing around it, he got on his knee. She watches, heart picking up speed. But she knows its not a proposal, not at sixteen.

"I have some promises to make to you" he says while slipping the ring on her finger.

"what's the promise?"

"My promise to you, Tenten, is to wait"

"Wait for what?"

"Anything and everything : from waiting for you to finish getting dressed, to waiting for you to want to do anything serious." He allows her so catch her breath a little because he feels shes becoming overwhelmed, just slightly.

"I also promise to give you the patiants that you so rightly deserve."

She couldnt stop the blush and smile that graced her features, clearing her throat she said, "Well I don't have a ring for you but, I have some promises."

"like?"

"Neji Hyuga, I promise to always be greatful for you, to never take advantage of you, and to trust and love you, because that's what you deserve"

With that said, those promises made, they sealed all promises made with a kiss, one filled with all the passions, heat, and sweetness that left them dazed.

"I love you Tenten"

"promise?"

at that question he allowed himself to chuckle and wrapped an arm around her.

"Yes, I promise"
