I have never been the type of girl to want to fit in until that day... It started off relatively normal. The usual taunting, the boring school day, and being with Greyson. Until Jessica said that one thing that finally made me snap. "He's only with you because he feels bad for you. He doesn't want you. It was all just a bet." At that moment, I knew that I would have to change who I am. I would have to show them who they wanted to see. I would have to make Greyson want me for me, not for a bet.

"Hey Beth. Can I go shopping with you?" I asked my sister, watching as her eyebrows shot up, surprised by my question.

"Are you sure? I mean do you really want to? Last time, you just sat there on your phone the whole time. And I thought you didn't like the stores I go to?" She questioned me as she grabs her keys.

"Maybe I just want to change up my style a bit. I was wondering if you would help me? Maybe give me a little bit of a makeover?" I responded, putting a little smile on my face to make her believe my story.

Her face lit up at the mention of a makeover and she gripped my arm to pull me to the car. She started ranting about makeup and clothes while she dragged me. I just zoned out, not knowing what any of the things she was saying meant. We both got into the car, her continuing to rant while I got lost in my thoughts. What could I possibly do to make them finally like me? How could I make Greyson want me for me? What would Beth do to me during this makeover?

I am snapped out of my thoughts when I feel a tug on my arm. I look to my right to see Beth already on my side of the car, waiting for me to get out.

"Having second thoughts already?" She teases, with an eyebrow raised.

"No," I say, while rolling my eyes. "Let's just get this over with."

As soon as I am out of the car, she starts pulling me through the doors of the mall. The first store we go into, she immediately leads me toward the makeup section. My eyes widen at the sight of all of the different types and brands. She starts ranting about everything again and I try to listen, but get confused.

"Woah, woah. Wait a second... Why exactly do I need to put that on my eyelashes? I'll probably end poking my own eye out with that thing!" I exclaim, my eyes wide as I look at the small tube in her hands.

She rolls her eyes at me before grabbing my arm. Next thing I know, I'm being dragged then pushed into a chair. I look up at her with wide eyes, wondering what she was going to do.

"Let me just show you how this works, okay? I promise not to poke your eye out." She says as she pulls the little brush out of the tube. Once she bring it closer to my eye, that when I finally realize what she is trying to do.

"Maybe we should just skip that and get something else." I plead. She rolls her eyes at me once more before pushing me to a sitting position.

"You'll be fine. Just sit still and I will try not to stab you in the eye." She exclaims, before bringing the little brush closer to my eye. I finally give in and try to sit still. At first, the little brush tickled as it met my eyelashes but I soon got used to it.

"There." Her smile widens at she looks down at me. "See? I told you it wasn't that bad. Now let's look at some of the other stuff." She inserts the little brush back into the tube and spins it until it's completely closed. I slowly get off of the chair and walk over towards the other products.

About an hour and 60 samples later, we finally left the store, each of us carrying a small bag with many different products in it.

"Next, we are going to look for clothes. Let's make a few rules just so I know you won't back out on me." She states, not taking her eyes off of her phone.
