Chapter 4:Summertime

Jack and Mark didn't really like Ms.King so much.The first week of school she acted nice and sweet,but around a month later she gave the third graders a lot of classwork and homework and she wasn't the nice teacher they thought she was.One time she brought in a cage filled with twelve super tiny birds.Appearently,they were the class pets.Over time one by one the birds were dieing.There was only eight birds left in the middle of the school year.Ms.King one day was in a really bad mood that she made a student carry a dead bird with his bare hands.The little boy cried and was disgusted.Then,Ms.King's husband was sick and was dieing so she had to go home and stay home so she could help her husband.She soon retired and she was replaced by a slightly better teacher named Ms.Narvarro.She was a tall beautiful woman who was SO MUCH younger than her.She was still mean but she was better than Ms.King.

Jack and Mark didn't like Ms.King so much because she gave them detention in every possible way.One day when everyone else was at christmas party,she made them stay and help clean up her classroom and pass out the homework sheets the class was suppose to over break.Jack and Mark were glad that they replaced Ms.King with Ms.Narvarro.

There were a few problems with the bullies though...

The Grumps had them cornered in the playground one day and they thought they would like some payback.They broke Bob's glasses,broke Mark's arm,gave Jack a bloody nose,and Feilx was bruised all over his body.Wade however was fast enough to get out of their reach and called for a teacher.When the group almost finished the job,they heard the whistle blow from a teacher and saw Wade was with them.

"This isn't over."The leader warned as they all ran away.

The teacher came and saw what they have done.

"Oh my goodness!Are you boys alright?"She said.

They all nodded besides Felix and Mark who couldn't move at all.

"Lets get you to the nurses office."She said helping Mark up and carrying Felix in her arms.

They all walked besides her as they went inside the office.

After a few hours,they finally found the groups kids who did this and so they were suspended for a week.On the other hand everyone's parents were in the office,asking questions on what happened and if they were ok.Mark had been sent to a hospital for his arm.The mother's busy worrying over them while the fathers were busy arguing with The Grump's parents.

"Hey Wade?"Jack said.

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for getting help."He said.

"Yeah bro.You're like our hero today."

"I thought i'd never hear those words come out of your mouth Felix."Wade said,pretending to tear up.

"But you're still a moron."Bob laughed.

"Yeah but he's our moron."Jack said.

After an hour,after all the parents finished getting to know each other,they decided to go to Felix's house for a ice cream party.Everyone cheered as they walked out of the office and leaving home early.Mark was soon out of the hospital and they met at Felix's house.

They passed by Vons quickly to get ice cream,cones,sprinkles,carmel,and all that good stuff.Once they were home they started eating all the ice cream.The parents ate inside while everyone else ate in the backyard.

"So you really live next door?"Bob asked.

"Yeah."Jack said,taking a bite out of his cone.

"Lucky."Bob said.

"Mark,how's the ice cream?"Wade said.

"Shut up Wade."Mark said,licking his ice cream slowly.Mark broke his left arm luckily,but his doctor said not to move it so much.
