V10) As we were sitting in the lunch room, I looked around at the people in there and I've noticed a lot more humans in the school, all were most likely bought though. Damien saw what I was looking at and said to me, "Since I came to school with you it's become like a fad to have a human." As I was looking at the other humans, one girl stood out to me the most. She was very thin and had brown hair. She looked terrified sitting next to the boy who's arm was draped behind her chair. I frowned at the sight. "Can't your Dad stop this? He doesn't seem to like humans being bought by vampires and have their owners abuse them and sexually assault them. So why hasn't he done anything about it?" I asked Damien. "It's complicated. My Dad wants to end it, but the Parliament of Elders dislike his idea. They don't see humans as my family sees them. He's been trying to convince them for a good 30 years to end it." Damien told me. "I can't sit around here everyday though and see all these people come to school bruised and looking terrified because of what their owners did to them the night before while I'm living perfectly fine here. I won't be able to hold myself back the next time we are walking down the hall and I see them get slapped or strangled again and no one will do anything about it." I said to Damien as I clenched my fists in anger. This stuff has been happening for weeks but I can't do anything about it because I feel like they'll just get it a lot worse when they left school if I intervened. Damien put his hand on my shoulder and said, "I'll talk to my dad about it and he'll talk to the Dean of the school about setting some rules about it." I nodded and calmed down a little. Stacey walked by our table with her blonde squad and behind them was Stacey's human, which was a guy who kinda looked like Damien, who was carrying all of their lunch trays. The food made it hard to balance the trays and the one on top fell and crashed to the floor. The whole room went quiet as the anger shown on Stacey's face. She went up to him and when she raised her hand up to slap him, I quickly got up and stood between them. "Lay one of your manicured hands on him and you'll be sorry." I threatened her as I glared at her. "Move out of my way, human, and let me deal with my property." Stacey said to me while glaring back. "Then slap me instead of him." I said to her. She smirked and said, "My pleasure." Her hand came down hard across my cheek. It hurt, but I just smiled faced the guy, took the trays out of his hands, and shoved them in Stacey's arms. I must of put too much force in it because a glass of blood on top fell off and spilled all over Stacey. I laughed as Stacey dropped the trays and started shrieking as she ran out of the lunch room followed by her blonde squad. I turned around as the lunch room went back to normal and saw the guy laughing. "Sorry about intervening. I just couldn't sit and watch this stuff happen anymore." I said to him. He smiled at me and said, "Don't worry about it. Anything I get from her tonight will totally be worth it after that happened. I'm Tristan by the way." He held his hand out to and I took it, "Rose. You're the first human I've met since I gotten here." I said to him with a smile. "Same here. We got to stick together though in this place. I should go before she flips out. I'll see you later." Tristan waved to me as he left. I went back over to the table and sat down with a big smile on my face. Damien quickly put his cold hand on my cheek where I got hit and said, "You really need to think before you act." "I did. I thought I need to stand up and do something already. I'm not the type of person to sit back and watch anyways. It was worth it." I said honestly and smiled at him.-FF-School was over, so Damien and I was at home. I held the back of Damien's hand to my cheek as we both watched tv in our room. His hand made a better ice pack. The doorbell rang and Damien and I both ran downstairs to answer the door. I was blocking him from going further on the stairs as we raced down them. He lifted me off my feet and I laughed as he threw me over his shoulder and used his speed to get to the door. He opened the door and I felt his body tense up. I got down and looked towards the entrance. Daniella was standing there. She was one of the wolves I met at the club when we went. "Daniella. Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked her. "Well you left the club in such a hurry that you forgot bag there." She said to me as she handed me my black clutch bag. I took it and said, "Thank you so much for bringing it back. You didn't have to drive all the way out here to bring it back." She smiled and said, "It's no problem at all." I can feel Damien staring at her the whole time, probably glaring at her. "Well I'll see you next time, Rose. Bye." She said and turned around and walked to her car. I said goodbye and I closed the door. I looked at Damien and said, "You scared her away by glaring at her so much." "Well I don't like them." He told me. "They're werewolves, not bugs. They are people too. They have feelings like you and me." I said to him. "You wouldn't understand, Rose. You never had to live so close to people you've been at war with." Damien told me. "Well I'm going to change your mind about them too. Just wait and see." I said to him and smiled. I know I can get him to see werewolves as something more than just an enemy.
