Chapter 5
I had settled into my dorm about two days ago. My roommate was this kid named Avon Ace.
Despite his cool name he was a complete nerd. He was always doing homework and talking about scientific stuff that I didn't even know existed. I quite like him he was cool. Surprisingly he had a hot girlfriend named Lanie Smith. She was super nice and you could tell they loved each other very much.
All of my friends seemed to have found love except me.
What a surprise.
I had told Avon about Safari and he said he and I were both jerks.
See he's great.
I think he will help me become a better person. I first I wanted to change for Safari but then I realized I shouldn't. He was in my past and there was no need to bring him up. This was my new start. I was changing for me.
Mom would be so proud.
I know she missed me but I think she was a bit happy about all the alone time she was going to have with Balel, my stepdad.
"Avon." I said looking over at the little blonde boy. "Yes?" He asked looking at me. "Me Grayson and Avery are going to the carnival later tonight. Want to come?"
He thought for awhile "I dunno.. I have to study."
"Jesus Christ Avon! It's just one day. School doesn't start until three days! You have plenty of time." I said. "I have to be prepared."
"Just have this bit of fun for once before school starts. It's not like I'm forcing you to go to the club with me, get drunk and lose your virginity to a stranger!"
"I'm not a virgin!" He exclaimed. I laughed "just go with us? Once." I pleaded. He groaned and cover his face with his book "fine. I'll go."
"Okay good." I sighed. "You don't have a thing for me right?" Avon asked glancing over at me.
"Ha. As if. Nerds are not my time, sorry Avon." I said patting his head.
"I was just asking!"

Avon, Grayson, Avery and I have been at the carnival for about an hour now.
It's been really fun. We've already played many games and Avon won a giant teddy bear for his girlfriend. I won like one hundred tickets already and was still going strong. Grayson has been hit on by some girls and let's just say Avery was not happy about it. He gets jealous very easily. Grayson had went to go comfort him.
We went back home to our dorms a short time later.
