Episode 62: Kaede Mizuno

At the top of the staircase, Shiro and his group were all amazed by the beauty of the place they were in...Heaven.

"So this is true Heaven" Emi said in amazement. They were on top of a hill that overlooked a town. It was a small and rural town, but very green and beautiful. There was no sun, but it was still light outside. Shiro thought the place was cloudy, but it didn't really matter.

"Hey Emi, I thought my mom was a corrupt leader. This place looks nice though" Shiro told her. Emi shook her head.

"The problem with your mother is that she overuses the military to deal with her problems, remember? Now that most of the angel army is in the human world, her corrupt power has diminished, though she still rules over the land" Emi explained.

"Oh yeah I remember you saying something like that before. C'mon, let's go check it out!"

"Hold up, we can't just go into enemy territory like this!" Riven exclaimed.

"No need to worry. The angels here hate the queen and actually like Shiro" Emi told her.

"Really?"

"Yeah. Here, I'll show you." Emi led them into the rural town. The town was fairly empty, with only a few angels working outside. The group approached a fruit stand ran by an elderly angel.

"Oh why if it isn't Shiro. What brings you here?" the angel asked.

"Just looking around. Where is everyone? This place looks empty" Shiro replied.

"Most of the folk here are at school. They should be getting out shortly." Soon after she said that, Shiro saw a whole bunch of angel teenagers wearing school uniforms appear at the end of the road. "Oh here they come now." Shiro noticed a group of girls with a cute, light-brown hair girl with large brown eyes walking in the center of the group. When she saw Shiro, her eyes grey wider and she ran over to him.

"Are you the Seven Swordsman, Shiro!?" she asked excitedly. Shiro looked at her confused.

"I am, but who are you?" he asked.

"I'm your biggest fan, Kaede Mizuno! It's a pleasure to meet you!" the girl said happily. She took his hand.

"Yeah, nice to meet you..." Shiro did not know what was going on.

"Shiro, who is this girl?" Emi asked impatiently.

"This is Kaede Mizuno. I don't really know who she is" he replied.

"Hey Kaede, we're going on without you!" Shiro could hear one of the girls in Kaede's group call to her.

"Go ahead!" she called back. She then faced Shiro.

"Kaede, are you even an angel?" Shiro asked. She did not answer. She smiled at him soon after.

"Actually I'm not. The angels here are so friendly that they let me stay here and study" Kaede explained.

"So you are a human. That makes sense." Shiro looked at her. "So tell me, what do you like about me?"

"You're the best Shiro! After being abandoned by both your mother and father, you have become the strongest person in all three worlds, ready to take them both down. There's even a T.V. show about you!" Kaede seemed excited.

"There is? Wow, I guess I became a celebrity without knowing it." Shiro laughed. Kaede was still staring at him excitedly. "Do you want to join me?" Her eyes grew wider.

"Is it okay!? Can I really join you!?"

"Are you really going to ask a regular high school girl if she wants to join us?" Emi asked.
