22: Bear In Mind

[Jungkook's Pov]

We are all on standby waiting for our cue. Everyone's microphones are ready to go.

I secretly leave the members and quickly wonder through the backstage rooms. Huh? I then see V suspiciously talking to a girl.

I open my eyes. Oh my head hurts! I only closed my eyes for a second and I got that weird vision. Who was that girl?

I'm so bored! I'm waiting for my so-called manager to talk to Bang PDnim. They are talking in a separate room making me sit alone. Everything in this Big Hit Entertainment building is so dull.

Kkamjjakiya (that scared me)! I suddenly hear someone screaming at the top of his lungs demanding to sue the lighting crew. Chill man. What did the lighting crew ever do?

It goes quiet again. That was the only thrilling thing that has happened this whole time. What to do? I'm so hungry as well. This is no fun.

Manager hyung: "Jungkook. Get up. Let's take you back to the dorms."

My manager walks out of the room looking quite troubled. I blankly stare at him until I realised he was talking to me.

Jungkook: "Me?"

Manager hyung: "Of course you. Who else is here?"

I obediently follow him. Why is he walking so fast?

Jungkook: "Wait! Wait up! I'm getting a cramp in my leg."

Manager hyung: "Oh I forgot. Okay I'll slow down."

We walk to the carpark where the van is. We drive pass roads that aren't familiar to me at all.

Manager hyung: "We've arrived now. Hop off."

Jungkook: "Oh...okay."

I awkwardly walk behind him again as he leads me to the dorms.

Rap monster: "Manager hyung you're back. How did the talk with Bang PDnim go?"

Rap monster was the first to greet Manager hyung. Both of them start having a private conversation.

J-Hope: "Do you want to play a game with us?"

Jimin: "Aye come here! We're playing your favourite game."

My favourite game? But I want food. I'm so hungry. When it looks like no one's looking I sneak into the kitchen.

Oh damn it! Someone's in here! Before he turns around I quickly try to sneak back out again.

Jin: "Jungkook! Mwo hae (what are you doing)? Come here. You're hungry aren't you?"

He caught me. But I continue walking out like I didn't hear him.

I walk to one of the cleanest rooms. It doesn't matter who's room it belongs to I just wanted to sleep. I spread my arms and legs out on the bed. I immediately drift off.

Jimin: "JUNGKOOK!"

J-Hope: "JUNGKOOK!"

What's happening? What is this?

Rap monster: "Jungkook! Jungkook! It's going to be alright!"

Ah my head! It hurts!

Jin: "Just sta...calm!"

Ah! Why does my body hurt so much? Blood! Blood!

Rap monster: "Someone...the ambulance alr...dy!"

J-Hope: "Manag...hyung call...ambul...ce! Quickly!"

Ring!

Ah! What's with this ringing sound? Make it stop!

Jungkook: "Jin. Stay...by my...side. I only...need you...right...now."

Jin?

Am I going deaf? Everything has suddenly gone silent. I can't even hear the sound of my own breathing anymore.

What exactly is going on?

Jin: "Jungkook! Wake up! Il eona (wake up)!"

I immediately open my eyes and sit up. Sweat is dripping from my forehead. My hands are shaking and there are goosebumps all over my body. It feels like there's a huge lump in my throat.

It was only a dream?

I breathe in and out heavily. I close my eyes once again to calm myself down.

Jin: "Ya. Did you have a nightmare?"

Jin was in the dream. I pinch myself to check if I'm back to reality. Ouch!

Jin: "You're awake now. You don't have to hurt yourself. You're still trying to recover."

I turn to look at Jin in the eyes. He is sitting next to me on the bed. Since when did he care so much about me?

Jin: "Ah why do you keep staring at me like that?"

I instantly look away and lower my head.

Jungkook: "Mianheyo (I'm sorry)."

Jin: "Anyways! It's still so dark outside. Maybe you should go back to your bed and sleep."

My bed? Is this his bed? How long have we been sleeping next to each other?

Jin: "Unless you prefer to sleep with me?"

Jungkook: "Eh? Of course not! I'll go to my bed!"

Jin: "I'm kidding! But be quiet. Suga and everyone else are already fast asleep."

I jump out of his bed and walk out of the room without looking back. What a perverted guy!

Jimin: "Oh it's Jungkook! How did you know we are still playing games?"

J-Hope: "Pow! Pow! I'm winning Taehyung! You won't beat me!"

I shut the door straight away. Wrong room I guess. All three of them are still playing video games in the middle of the night. I feel my way through the darkness and find another door knob.

Once I opened the door the sound of someone snoring blasts through my ears. I squint to see who it is. It's in fact the one and only...Rap monster. They should seriously call him Snore monster instead.

I shuffle through all the stuff on the floor to the bed. But I realise all these random fan gifts are stacked top of it.

I'll just have to sleep in the living room's sofas tonight. There's no way I'm going back to Jin's bed. Even though it was so comfortable.

Suddenly these lyrics get stuck in my head. I start humming to the beat.

Why is my mind playing so many tricks on me lately? And what was that dream all about?

I don't have anyone I can talk to about it. I don't think the members and I have that kind of relationship yet.

But I think...maybe Jin and I do.
