The Mourn'n bird sings for a new day

A day that brings the flowers a bloom'n

Or is the bird singing for those who pay?

Those paying for stuff thez ain't doing

The bird be watching from a far

Thez be watch'n over the land

Thez be watching for those who be forced to keep their feel'ns in a jar

The bird be watch'n for those under the upper hand

The bird be waiting on the rail

Thez who be daring flock to it

Thez be a sour'n thru the rain and hell

The sun of the morning has been lit

We have found the mourn'n bird

The bird who has been a sing'n to us since the dawn of day

Thez be fly'n across the land to make sure thier song be heard

The mour'n bird sang for a new day

A new day that was a brig'n the new flowers bloom'n

Or was the bird sing'n for those who paid

For those who paid for stuff thez wern't doin
