The Last Stand

Chapter 1:

The sky is a terrible dark black, the clouds are blocking out the sun and its as if i havent seen the sun for years. I remember the week that everything went bad. The week that I almost lost my best friends, Riley, Ari, and Maddy. I am laying down on the cement, covered in scars and bruises. I hardly remember anything from yesterday except a man wearing black robes with a knife in his hand, holding it up to Maddy's neck. Ari, Maddy, Riley, and I were all stuck in some sort of chamber with toxic gas filling the room, thats when everything went black. I am coughing blood on the pavement, and I see a dark black figure walking towards me. I see him pull something out of his pocket and he is now sprinting at me. He takes long strides until he jumps through the air.

My best friend, Riley, was going to have a party with her friends and I had nothing going on so she invited me too. I was really excited for this because she was moving away in a couple months so I really needed to be at this party. We were going to swim in her pool and then go around the neighborhood and play pranks on people. I got to the party before everyone else and soon after that Maddy and Ari came along too. A lot more people showed up until it was a full house of people at the party. We all swam in the pool for a while and then Ari, Maddy, Riley and I went to walk around the block. We were just walking through the town when suddenly some people ran out of a house and shoved us in there car.

"Whats going on?!" Riley screamed.

"I dont know!" Ari yelled.

"Oh dont worry kids, we will take great care of you." Said the driver

We drove for about an hour and I heard sobs all around me. I went over to comfort Riley.

"Everything is going to be alright." I said.

"What if its not, Jake?" Riley asked.

"I dont quite know right now, but when the time comes, we will be ready, I promise." I said.

We finally showed up at the place after what seemed like hours. They pushed us all out of the car and pinned our arms behind our backs. We are pushed through an entrance and we soon see a man in black robes, it seems as though he has no face because he has his hood up.

"Tell us whats going on right now!" I demand.

"You are in a multi-level torture center" said the man with a low scratchy voice.

"What are you going to do to us?" Maddy asks.

"Oh trust me, it will make you cry out for help." The man says.

We are brought upstairs into a room with chains on the walls and have a cloth put in our mouths. We see people in all black walk into the room with a cart full of knives. We all scream for help but it is no use with the cloth over out mouths. They all pick one up and bring there arms back and let them fly.
