The Endowed Rewrite

Chapter 1

     Thump, thump, thump. My heart pounded against my chest, lungs burning from the quick and constant breaths. I could see my breath in front of me, frothing in the cold chilled air. Thud, thud, thud. My feet and flew across the the cemented sidewalk somewhat slick from the patches of frost layering it. I gripped my wand tightly as if it were my lifeline for it era my only defense against those that were chasing me. There were to many to fight I was outnumbered so my only option, run! That was the only thought going through my head .

One tiny mistake, a simple slip up and they found me. I got to careless about covering my tracts. I should have.... Just as I turned the corner, feet skidding on slick pavement I could hear their voices echoing from the direction that I just came from. My breath hitch and I paused for a brief moment then started back to my breakneck speed. Legs aching and burning with a white hot pain, I was at the end of the line.

"Hurry up! I think she went this way!"

The voice thundered through the darkness. I let a sigh of relief escape me. They had taken a different direction than I had. Focus Laura you're not out of the woods yet. I needed to make sure that I was a good distance away from them then I could find a spot hidden away from view and gather up my strength to disappear from their radar and start again with my search.

SNAP!!!!

Pivoting quickly around I turned and saw nothing but then from behind came deep chuckling echoing in the darkness. They came from all sides dark black cloaks billowing in the crisp night air, some with masks covering their faces and others without. Death Eaters!

They circled around me cutting of all my chances to run away but there was still one more trick up my sleeve well to if you count my secret but now was not the time to reveal it. I quickly built up my energy and focusing my mind for what I was about to do. The leader of the group stepped towards me an into the circle of Deaths Eaters.
