On Understanding Women

Man understands me not

For I'm a woman!

He thinketh he knows the mysteries of my mind

Yet full of delusion is he- that considers himself

The bearer of wisdom, truth and every just virtue.

His lustful glances penetrate my soul,

But I know deep inside he considers me only a fool.

So to escape my desire he flees into mountains,

Still in the form of emotions I remain.

Why are wise men so lonely?

Man, I truly pity thee!

Try to decipher me but you can't.

For how can someone understand the one

That does not even understand herself.
