(So like I wrote this forever ago then unpublished it because I didn't like it, but I just reread it and I love it all over again so I'm republishing it)I was alone in my apartment and I had just finished recording a video when the doorbell rang.
The cat from the adoption center! I was so excited. When Marzia left a few months before, she took both of the dogs with her, so I had been alone. I ran to the door and pulled it open.
"I have a delivery for a Mister Felix Kjellburg?"
"That's me!"
I signed a couple of papers, curious as to where the carrier for my new brown kitty cat was. Just as the thought crossed my mind, I felt a pressure against my waist and the tickle of fur under my nose. I looked down, surprised at how heavy my cat was. I looked down to see a...
A man? No, it was a.. a cat? I wasn't sure. Before I could ask the delivery man what was going on, he was back in his truck, with his key in the ignition and his foot to the gas. I pulled the.. cat inside and closed the door. His left ear flicked as he looked at me with curious eyes. I couldn't deny, he WAS cute. But, I never asked for this. I just wanted a cat.
"Are you going to send me away too?"
An incredibly deep, but still adorable voice questioned me, a hint of tears in his words.
"I don't want to go back again. It's scary there."
I searched for the words to say as his pleading eyes searched for my answer. it couldn't hurt to keep him, could it?
"Uhm, I don't... Uhh, no. No, I won't send you back."
"YAY" I felt his tail wrap around my leg as he hugged me tightly.
"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU"
I laughed as he jumped up and down, giggling.
"Hey, what's your name? "
"You can call me whatever you want, I don't mind. You're F-Fe-"
"Felix. But you can me Fe if you want."
"Okay, actually, can you call me Ry Ry? It's what my best friend used to call me, and I really like it."
"Sure! Hi Ry Ry, welcome home!"
"H-ho-hooomee?"
"Yes Ry Ry, it means a place for you to live. A place to be loved. You and me are gonna be best friends!" His ears twitched up as did his tail and the corners of his lips. I smiled back. Maybe having Ry Ry around wouldn't be so bad.
I began to show him my apartment, and the whole time he held his tail in one hand, and had my own, larger hand in the other. He really was adorable. I could get used to this. I showed him the kitchen, and I saw his eyes light up as I opened the fridge to show him the contents.
"Ry, are you hungry?"
He looked up to face me, ears up as far as they could go,
"Yes yes yes! Starving!"
I smiled at how innocent he sounded. This was so much better than a cat. I reached into the fridge, finding some leftover pizza from the night before and a Mountain Dew. (omg product placement wow don't sue me) As I placed the pizza in the microwave, he seemed a bit nervous. His ears flattened down and he held onto his tail for dear life, hiding his face in my chest.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
The pizza was ready, but I was focused on the fact that my furry friend was whimpering, hiding behind me clutching his tail.
"Hey, Ry Ry, it's okay. It makes your food warm. I promise it won't hurt you." I smiled the best I could, but looking at how afraid he was made me sad. He looked up at me with unsure eyes.
"P-Promise?"
"I promise." I slowly walked towards the now heated pizza and put it onto a plate for my new friend. After making some for myself, I took him to the living room and sat on the couch. He looked at my big, 60" flatscreen,
"What is that Fe?"
"That is my tv. It shows me cartoons and funny movies. It's like a magic box"
"Wow!! Can I try, can I try!!"
"Let me show you how it works."
I picked up my remote, and pressed the power button. He was mesmerized as the television screen revealed an episode of Adventure Time. After he had scarfed down his pizza, he sat quietly, eyes glued to the screen. The only sound to come out of his cute mouth for the next twenty minutes were little giggles. As the show ended, I felt him wriggle up next to me, arms and tail wrapped around my torso and his head buried into my neck. He nuzzled his head as far as he could manage and I felt him smile. I pet the top of his head.
"Are you tired Ry Ry?"
He hummed in response, so I picked him up and carried him to my bed. My apartment only had one bedroom and I decided he could have it until I bought him his own bed to sleep in. It was difficult carrying him down the hallway. I mean, he WAS almost my size. As I was setting him down, he pulled himself closer to me.
"Please don't leave me." I heard him whisper, a sense of need in his voice.
"Of course not Ry Ry, I'll stay with you."
With that, I snuggled up next to my new friend. I heard him purr quietly, and I smiled as his hair once again tickled my nose.
"Goodnight Ry Ry"
"Ni-Night"
